I called, and was very friendly, as I always am with people in the service industry because I have worked in the service industry for forever, and nothing is worse than a rude customer.
I found a gift card my mother had purchased for me a year and a half ago in my moving for about $160 worth of face wash. I called them to inquire about it, and the receptionist was very rude, and more than rude, unwilling to give an inch at all. There was no expiration date on the certificate, but she said they wouldn't honor it because it had been given to me by the old owner.
I understand the shift in management conundrum, but I think it's just bad business to not offer anything in return. Just bad customer service. Really, 160 bucks in product and they won't budge an inch, or offer anything wholesale (which wouldn't cost them anything).
After reading these reviews I am happy to note that I'm not the only one who had a bad experience.
Oh, and for the person who said that everyone who is complaining must just not be happy with anything: I am not that kind of customer. I NEVER write bad reviews, I never send my food back at restaurants, and I always tip at least 20% (even if my service is terrible). It just sounds to me like this owner is shooting him/herself in the foot. I feel cheated, dismissed and really sorry for this business.
Pros: May have great service, but I will never know
Cons: ...how can they honestly still be in business?
