Davis Towing

I am a 53 year old woman with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. I went grocery shopping sunday afternoon around1:00p.m. I stopped in front of my apartment where There is a red curb that says no parking. I was not parking. I was unloading heavy boxes of groceries from Sam's Club like I have been doing for 7 years. My car doors were open. I unloaded the groceries and collected the bottles to put in the car to take down to the trash. When I went out to load my car, I saw Davis Towing towing my car. I called them and they said I would have to pay $375.00 to get my car. How am I supposed to get $375.00 when I am on government disability because of my disease. How am I supposed to get to the tow company to get my car. The guy was very rude and said he didn't care. He said that was my problem. I am unable to carry heavy groceries from my assigned parking spot in my apartments since the spot is not near my apartment. He should have some simpathy for someone who is dying. more

My friend who had parked in a private lot unknowingly had her car towed by this company. When her car was towed her house keys were in the car she asked if she could get her keys and was told it was a $90.00 fee for them to give her her keys back. She is a single mother and is barely surviving to make ends meet at the moment and after two days of trying to work a deal with these guys she asked me for help. I called and at first was told that if I picked up the car before 5pm the charge would be $345 and if it was after 5pm it would be $435. and was told the daily rate was $70. Five minutes later my husband called to say he would be in to pay for the tow and was told the price was now $405 when i called back and asked about the discrepancy I was yelled at and told that they have 3 guys working there and that might explain the different price quote. When I asked why I was being yelled at the man said he had ""been taking calls on this car all day from priests trying to help and was tired of dealing with it"" I was then given a break down of the total bill $225 to tow the car and then a $60 dollar a day charge (it now had changed from the previous $70) . Also when my friend had called about getting her keys returned the man who towed her car stated to her "" I bet you dont even have paperwork showing you own this car...most people who speak spanish like you dont even have paperwork to be in this country ..do you? "" He told her she needed to bring in her green card to pick up her car. although he doubted she had one. Nice going Roseville Towing ..way to treat a single mom just trying to make ends meet ..and this attitude 5 days before Christmas. ...One Local business I will never do business with EVER. more

Yesterday I had a car towed from my covered parking spot in the complex that live. Roseville towing has a contract with my complex so I called them. They showed up quickly and where easy to work with. I filled out the receipt given to me by the driver, asking for my information like full name, phone number and address. It was explained to me that this was standard and needed for filling purposes. Later that morning I received a threatening phone call from the person who's car I had towed. Now someone who I don't know, is pissed off and has my full name, phone number and the address to the place my family sleeps at night. When I called Roseville towing to complain, I was told, ""the person needed proof that there car was in a reserved spot"" I asked why the individual was not directed to my apartments management and could not get a answer. I received no apology, and no assurance that anything was going to change in regards to what information they will give out anyone that asks. Thank you Roseville Towing for potentially putting the fait of my family, my property and my self in the hands of some random citizen. Cons: gave my personal information to the person I had towed. more

I used this tow company to take my SUV to the dealership at the automall last week and a dirty driver showed up wearing cut up shorts and an old t-shirt that had holes in it. When I got in the truck to go with the driver the inside of the truck was also dirty and smelled bad of cigarettes. This is not the type of company I want towing my truck in the future. Pros: didn't have to pay for tow, was through my insurance company Cons: dirty driver, dirty and smelly truck more
