I had a poor experience here. Sloppy store, bad customer service. I later found The Bridal World in Baldwin and got my dream dress with no stress or hassle. I advise all to avoid Davids and go elsewhere unless you are planning on rack shopping through a mess to find your cheap dress that doesn't feel like it will make it through the wedding more

OMG, what a nightmare!! 4/7/2011

My wedding is coming soon, and everything is good, but I never though what horrible would be David's Bridal. First, I bought my shoes and they dye them, but the pair that they did are hard and unconformable. In the same moment I let them know, but they told me that I couldn't exchange them, ""sell them in Ebay"" a woman told me. Right now my worse nightmare is being the Alterations Department people. They are really tough and rude. They don't know anything about customer service or human relations. They don't know how to make feel good a bride-to-be. I've had 2 fits and I am afraid of a third one, because they leave always something wrong. I am really scared. more

AVOID!! NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE! 7/3/2009

I've been to David's Bridal several times as a bridesmaid, and I have witnessed several of my friends get treated horribly. On one occasion, the bridal attendant frequently opened the door while my friend was dressing to impatiently rush her into the next dress. My friend had set aside 2 dresses she really liked so she could try them on again, but found that the attendant gave them to another bride! When a few of us went back to the racks to pull some dresses we thought our friend might like (which are all still in plastic garment bags), the attendant refused to let us give her the dresses, saying she had another bride to tend to and could not help us any longer. She told us to make another appointment if we had more we wanted to see. Pros: Cheap.. but you get what you pay for Cons: customer service, quality more

horrific 8/15/2008

i just start my saying i rarely write reviews but i am so upset that i felt it necessary to spare any other bride the horror of shopping at davids bridal. To begin with unless you specify you want a bridal consultant you will end up with a bridesmaid consultant and pray tell what bride to be wants that, then after you complain because she stands against the wall and makes no suggestions at all doesn't even look for the gowns you will be told that she has some experience with bridal gowns. So because i'm thinking evreyone has a bad day i go back 2 weeks later and guess what she even worst. then because i found a gown i thought i wanted i call the store 1504 westbury and ask if the gown is in stock (most of the gowns i wanted were not in stock and the won't get it unless you order it ) but this one is and i ask what is the policy for the purchasing a gown. Now granted i have never brough a wedding gown before but i have several friends who have and none of them used davids bridal now of course i see why but the manager proceeds to tell me that you have to pay for the gown first before they order it no deposit but full payment and they will only order a new gown only if you insist otherwise the gown that you and heaven only knows how many other brides have tried only will be cleaned and that will be your gown!! in additon to that during my last visit security was at the store with an very irate bride to be because her gown was not there and her wedding was 3 weeks away. Avoid this place like the plague. i was very disappointed especially since they advertise so much. Pros: big place nice selection if they have your gown in stock Cons: poor sevrice not attentive horrible policies more

Average but Recommended 7/10/2007

Well, I must say that I was serviced very well in the David's Bridal on 1504 Old Country Road, Westbury NY. I feel compelled to write about it even though this commentary site is for David's Bridal on Glen Cove Road in Carle's Place. I can only imagine that they are all generally the same. I was serviced by a woman named Malacia, who was absolutely pleasant and accomodating. My main complaints are that it was a little disorganized in terms of actually getting someone to help you. I had to wait on a line for like fifteen minutes before finally realizing that I was on the wrong line and was rather supposed to confront the women at the front desk. Not entirely my fault, as at the other boutiques I went to I was serviced immediately the second I walked in, without having to walk around confusedly trying to find help. When I finally did find help, the woman at the desk was too busy on the phone (for like 15 minutes) before she could actually give me her time. But when Malacia came along, all was forgiven. She got me the dresses I wanted very quickly, and wrote them down for me into the computer and printed them out. The space was a little crowded as there were like two or three other people being helped in very close quarters, and it felt almost like an invasion of privacy because everyone was peering at you the minute you walked out of the dressing room to look in the mirror. The dresses weren't particularly the best I've ever seen. The fabrics were a bit cheap-- a lot of organza and hard material that I didn't find very pleasing. The prices were low, but I can only imagine that it was because the dresses were cheaply made. The staff, well at least Malacia, was hard-working and accomodating, servicing you to the best of her abilities. I would recommend this bridal shop to those of you who need to do last minute shopping for a wedding dress because you might just find what you are looking for. Bottom line, keep it as a last resort. Good Luck!!!! Pros: Hard-working staff, Large enough selection, plus sizes Cons: Had to wait, crowded, cramped space, cheap fabric on dresses more
