David's Bridal

I had an unexpected great experience at David's Bridal in Dublin yesterday. It was my first time even looking at wedding dresses, and I had no intentions of buying - I just wanted to get an idea of what I liked (and take that idea to other bridal shops that I thought would have more unique/original designs). Much to my surprise, I found the dress. I'm not one to make impulse decisions, but this was just it for me. \r \r I can't say enough about the help I received while at David's for three hours. Laura was my consultant, and she was very honest and helpful (giving personal advice, and reminding me to imagine my fiance and his reaction). She put me at ease, and was oh-so patient with me. I highly recommend going on a weekday, too. I was the only bride trying on dresses, so I had full range to the entire place (and they encouraged me to walk around, look in all the mirrors, etc.). I wasn't overwhelmed, and I got the attention of not only my consultant, but also the manager, Karolyn (who was great), and other consultants who also commented/offered suggestions.\r \r My mom and I probably hugged Laura five times while we were there. Plus, she told me to call her anytime, even if I have a ""dumb"" question. I would highly recommend David's in Dublin to anyone looking (even if you think you aren't ready to buy, like I was!). And definitely plan to go on a weekday! more

Horrible Service!! I had an appointment at Davids Bridal in Dublin, Ohio on Saturday the 20th at 2pm. I arrived 15min early and filled out the paperwork, and made sure that they knew that my maid of honor was looking for gowns as well, they knew that and said that it would be a few more minutes if we wanted to start to look. I had 2 other people with me and we all started looking around and after I had found 5 dresses I liked I went back to the front to see where my consultant was because no one had said anything to us yet. I found out that my ""consultant"" had 3 other appointments at the same time and that she was too busy helping them to even bother looking down the isle next to her for me. Finally I was able to go back to start trying dresses on, we went to 5 different fitting rooms before finding one that was open and we had to wait for it to be cleared out before we could get into it. My ""consultant put the dresses in the room and gave me a bridal bra and told me to call for her when I was ready, I asked my sister to find her when I was ready and she was no where to be found. My sister came in and helped me with the bridal bra and then when the ""consultant"" came back my sister said I was ready for her. more

My first appointment was extremely rushed. There was no personal attention whatsoever, my maid of honor really did most of the work. Although the bridal consultant was very she was so busy helping several customers. I am not sure why you make an appointment if they cannot see you. The next time we went in was for bridesmaids dress. Some of my bridesmaid were from out town. We asked to pick the dress up from another David's Bridal. The manager Judy said that this was not policy. We then got online to find out that they were running a promotion to have that the dresses could be shipped for free. Once we said fine we will just go to the other store and purchase the dress the manager then had a change of tone. About 7 months later i tried on m y dress and absolutely hated. I brought it in to the store and they as long as there was not visibly wrong with the dress and it still had the tags we could return for store credit. Of course when I went in for the appointment the manager Judy was again there and everything changed. She told me that another store had already told me that i could not return the dress although I never spoke to another store. I was still trying on dresses and prepared to purchase a whole new gown. When she continually stood outside of the changing room saying condescending and rude things. In tears I finally told my maid of honor that I would not spend another penny in that store. We went to Wendy's Bridal, where I had quality time and a quality experience. The staff at David's Bridal seemed very nice and concerned, the manager however, wanted to pick a fight and just be flat our rude. If you are imaging an experience that you wish to remember your entire life I would look for a more intimate bridal shop. This one's poor management reflects greatly in the time and care that is given to the customers. more

first off made appointment with friend for daughters wedding dresses, appointment time scheduled, got there and had to wait and wait, then finally one got a girl to help her and the other one still waiting, finally and they throw you in a room and tell you where the dresses are and maybe help you if they aren't busy with three other girls, rushed and hurried , even at layaway, did not ask our address , assumed what was on drivers liscense correct , and was not did not call or send anything about the dress or a reminder to make payments and they just up and cancel and the only way we knew we finally called them , never recieved a phone call , email or regular mail contact from them on layaway would not reccommend , they do not hold a candle or a bra strap to universal bride and prom in coshocton, they actually give personalized service and no appointment necessary, would reccomend someone else besides them, very poor service and hurried to push people through! more

I have heard good and bad things about Davids Bridal. I made an apontment on Sawmill Rd. and it was during their "" Christmas Sale"" I was put with Caroline. She was great!!! She was very attentive and didnt pressure me into getting anything. At the beginning of the apointment she asked me what I was looking for. I told her I wanted a classic, vintage look. She ran off and grabbed a dress. It was the dress I picked. Its my dream dress and I cant wait to wear it on my wedding day! Make sure when you go to book an apointment with Caroline, she was wonderful! Pros: Attentive, Sweet & Made me feel comfortable!! more

When my fiance and I got engaged, of course the first place we went was Davids Bridal. Huge mistake!!!! I was pushed into a layaway decision, with a 10% cancellation fee, due to the fact that the dress was supposedly going off sale. The dress went back on sale shortly after, (if it was ever off.) My future mother in law also put her dress on layaway. We soon found out, bridal dresses being sold at Davids Bridal were being sold at local department stores for 75% less!! With the same quality, if not better. When we went to cancel, the nice and supportive staff changed. The manager at this location was extremely rude to us. She did not want to cancel the layaway and gave me an attitude. At a special time in my life, this lady made me feel very unimportant and inconsequential.
