I wasn't expecting red carpet treatment at David's Bridal, but we did make an appointment for Saturday morning and our sales associate was okay-until her next appointment arrived. We did specify we would be picking out a wedding and 1 bridesmaid dress when I made the appointment. We thought maybe we were taking too long, but there were girls trying on dresses before I got in there, and they were there long after I was done- all had very friendly sales associates. I decided on my dress very quickly. MIRIAN may have had a bad morning- or she was upset she worked there. \r
My sister is a very private person and did not want my mother knowing she was trying for a baby. While she was trying on dresses, she realized she might be pregnant. So, we asked MIRIAN on the sly what was the return policy and she said that we could return it for a maternity one- great. We said to her before we asked, our mom doesn't know she's trying, so, just don't bring it up if you could. My sister went out to pick out some shoes and overheard MIRIAN loudly complaining in the middle of the store that we were SO annoying and one of us is pregnant, but doesn't want the mother to know- it's just weird! Hey- at least wait until we're out of the store, MIRIAN.\r
Another tip- DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS ALTERED AT DAVID'S BRIDAL! I have rows of ribbon on the bottom of my dress and when they altered it, the first row of ribbon is puckered, unlike the rest, AND is not straight-it is curved, unlike the other straight lines. Nothing I can do about it now- I can only hope no one notices, or does not show up in pictures. And I paid $120 for them to ruin it. The seemingly ""deal"" of David's Bridal does not make up for their cramped store, shoddy, unpleasant service, and poor attention to detail. They want you in and out in an hour, and apparently, take the same time to alter it!
