Worst

Predatory towing practices. Attempt intimating college girls legally parked -- trying to shake them down for cash. Dishonest and disreputable. ??????

Let's own up to what really happened. 9/17/2011

OK OK everyone. I have to tell you I have had the need to use Dave's Towing several times, unfortunately. No one likes to have someone towed. But, let's be realistic. You don't park for a few minutes: it takes Dave's at least 45 minutes to respond. Let's own up to reality. You all just thought you could get away with it. Don't park illegally and you won't experience those terrible issues. Sorry I just had to put in my two cnts worth. more

bad reviews,tell the truth 2/13/2011

all the complaints that i had read on Daves Towing, there was only person who admitted the truth, that he had parked in a tow zone. If people would read and not park in areas that they should not park their car would not get impounded. If the people that have their vehicles tow off would own up to thier stupid mistakes or the just plainly cant read,,they would not find there selves in this situation. Why the towing co. have to take the blame for your stupidness doesn't make since to me. Then go into the office of this co. and be rude and nasty to the lady behind the desk, call her out of her name and it pretty sad that the only thing you can find wrrong with her is her weight, that sure doesn't say much for yourself. wake up people you cant park your car on other people property, just cause u think u can. get real give the tow a break, spare them of your nasty attitudes and watch where you park your vehicle. more

Poor Judgement on My Part 1/13/2009

I apparently parked in the wrong spot over at the Fairgrounds one Saturday. My car was ""impounded"" by Dave's Towing. I was furious when I went to get into my car. It was gone and I noticed that a tow truck was towing cars close to where I had been parked. I stopped the gentleman. Although he didn't have my car; he took the time to radio in to see if mine had been towed. It had been. He gave me the phone number and acually let me use his cell phone to call the answring service to get some aswers. I was quite upset and despite my anger the woman was quite nice and told me they were releasing cars that afternoon and where to go to get my car. When I look back on it...I was really mean and nasty to the woman on the phone and deserved harsh words in return, but; she didn't even raise her voice. I did call her back later that evening and appologise for my behavior. Pros: Dave's people were friendly and patient Cons: Fairgrounds Parking - watch where you park more

BAD BAD BAD These guys are crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1/3/2009

They show up to tow my mint 1965 buick skylark because of breaks going out they decide it would be better to move the buick closer to their tow truck forgetting about the fact thet the buick had no breaks and ran the buick into the back of the tow truck. Pros: they will be out of business one day Cons: Everything including the Pig of a lady behind the counter more

Simply Pathetic 10/20/2008

Dave's Towing towed my car on Saturday from Taco Bell on Bardstown Rd. My girlfriend and I are both college students who have no money and see had just taken the GRE that night. We stopped on Bardstown road, not able to find a spot anywhere because of the game and figures Taco Bell wouldn't mind considering that there were only three cars in the parking lot. We ran go get our food real quick and when we came back my car was gone. It cost us $135 to pick it up and when I got there my front left turn signal was hanging out of my front end by a wire and my bumper was cracked down the middle. I don't see how stuff like this isnt illegal. They basically stole my car, bribed my to get it back and then broke it. I've been trying to figure out ever since what in the worl I did to deserve all of the trouble they put me through. These people are pathetic. Cons: Careless more

Cheaters Liers 3/16/2008

IF I COULD CHOOSE 0 STARS I WOULD. They towed my car on a friday night. from the highlands because they said i left the property but i did not. they would not cooperate with me and the tow truck driver who was very rude said he would take my car off the truck for $75. i did not have it so he took my car from behind the walgreens. i was there for 15 minutes and came out and found my car on the back of the truck. apparently this towing company has some kind of deal with the security guard on site that he gets money for each car. there were 5 other cars being towed at the same time by the same company. they say they are closed on the weekend and i can not get my car back until monday. when i tried to find out how much and to ask why they took my car they had no answer and hung up on me. now i have no way to get to work over the weekend. i am taking this to court. i went to pick up my car this morning (monday) because they were finally open and my car had been broken into causing $1000 worth of damage and missing items. and they are not responsible, so they say. Cons: they stole my car more

Horrible Service and Price 11/10/2007

Dave's Towing towed our car early Saturday morning and took it to their impound lot. When we called, we were told we could not pick it up until Monday at 8:30 a.m. when the office opens. They refused to tell us how much it would cost to get the car out. We went over to their impound lot that Saturday afternoon and demanded they release our car. We told them they have no legal right to hold it for 3 days, and we threatened to report it as a stolen vehicle. Furthermore, the sign on their property said ""Official Police Impound Lot."" We called the police who told us they have no affiliation with Dave's Towing and that regular police impound lots are always open on weekends. We stood in their parking lot for over an hour and continued to call their office demanding they release our car. Finally, after the 3rd or 4th phone call we insisted they at least tell us how much it will cost so we know how much money to bring on Monday. Then they told us we can get it out that same Saturday for $160. An hour later, they unlocked the gate and we paid $160 to get the car. We called them from another phone later that day just to see how much it regularly costs to have a tow truck tow a car from the approximate distance they towed ours. They said the cost would be $55.....even on a Saturday!!! But they charged us $160 just because the car was already locked behind their gate. Businesses like this need to be shut down. These people are thieves and liars. They provided us with no documentation of who requested our car be towed in the first place, they charged us an extra amount because it was the weekend and they were ""closed"" (even though someone was already there to unlock the gate), they charged us $105 more than what it usually costs to tow a car, they tried to illegally hold our car for 3 days, and they falsely claimed to be affiliated with the police by posting a sign on their property and telling us they are with the police, which they later admitted was a lie. more
