I have been to Dave and Buster's on a few occasions. After my most recent visit however, I am certain that I will never return. The most accurate way to describe this establishment is as I have listed in the title ""Chuck E Cheese with a Bar."" Here is a brief overview of several noticeable annoyances and flaws with D&B's:\r
\r
1.) It is an absolute cash-vacuum. Games are ridiculously short; most last only seconds. Food and drinks are over-priced as well ($8 for 5 chicken wings?!) \r
\r
2.) If you go on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared to wait in long lines behind groups of over-zealous children as well as selfish adults who have had too much too drink. \r
\r
3.) It is VERY uncomfortable. It is much too crowded, much too loud, and much too hot! \r
\r
4.) In order to play any games, you must load a ""power card"" with money. However, there are SEVERAL activities for which you cannot use your power card (virtual golf, pool, shuffle board, etc.) This reminds me of ""Itchy and Scratchy Land"" in the Simpsons in which Homer buys ""Itchy and Scratchy fun money"" before entering the park only to discover that it is not accepted anywhere.\r
\r
5.) The employees are rude. If you have any difficulty with your games, power card, etc. don't expect any help from the staff. \r
\r
This could go on and on... \r
\r
In closing, I will say this: If you are an adult who still lives with your parents, if you don't have a good education or a real job, if you prefer the company of video games to real people, and if you enjoy drinking simply to escape how pathetic your life is just for a little while, then Dave and Busters is the place for you.
