Dr. Dauphine has a good feel for people and what they can handle. When i was pregnant with my son people kept asking me how big my son was going to be. I asked the Dr. and she said "he will be as big as he is". Some might think that is rude, but the fact is this was my first child i was nervous about everything and my son was almost 10 pounds. She new that if she told me i was going to have a 10 pound baby i would have spent the last month of my pregnancy trying to figure out how he was going to get out. I had the best pregnancy and the best delivery because Dr. Dauphine did not let me get caught up in the all the things i ready and all the TV i watched. She made me feel like this is something that happens everyday and i was going to get through it fine. By the way that 10 pound kid came out with about 5 minutes of pushing. No stress delivery. more

I highly recommend Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste, so much so that I now take my 15 year old daughter to be seen and treated by her. My daughter has some very special needs and yet Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste is kind, non-judgmental and patient. She delivered my son who is nearly 19 years old. Strangely, she seems not to have aged so I would recommend her skin care line. She's the best. She has genuine concern for her patients. dr will not allow woman to go with her natural instincts. staff will not give proper responses. THEY TAKE 4-5 DAYS TO TAKE JUST TO TELL the results over the phone dr. baptiste has more money minded attitude than patient interests. more

I stopped going to her after about a dozen bad experiences. The last straw was being put in a room, after waiting in the general waiting room for 2 hours. Well, I was put in a room and waited for 3 hours! I couldn't believe it. And she was there, she just forgot about me. It wasn't like she had to run to the hospital and save someone. I went out of the room nearly a dozen times telling the nurses she still hadn't come in and she just strolled in after 3 hours, never apologized, nothing. She doesn't care. more

My BC prescription expired in August, yet I still had one refill left. Doctor denied me my refill. Any other doctor would have looked at my chart, saw that I have no insurance and am not sexually active and would have made the common sense decision. Dr. BRD is clearly after one thing only: the money. more

This Dr.. couldn't believe that i was happily married for almost 7 years on my first visit to her & we had no babies--"Why no babies"--WHAT THE HECK is this lady asking me, I came here for my annual woman exam & to discuss various birth control options, as I made very clear when I made the appointment. If she cared at all about her new patients, she would read their chart & know what they are here for, and not begin to uncomfortably grill them about their fertility. I worked at a Planned Parenthood in FL & know about this IUD called the Mirena, that is NOT copper. I started to ask Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste about IUD options & she cut me off saying that IUD is only an option for a woman who's had a child. No discussion, and she'd never even heard of the Mirena. Not to mention her bed side manner is beyond cold & rough, and the forgetfulness is a bit much. And when I asked the staff if they validate the parking lot to waive the fee they just about laughed at me & said "Didn't we give you a box of one month of free sample, that is $30 worth of birth control, that should more than cover your parking." They had to give me a sample of pills b/c I wouldn't take a 'script for any of the weird pills she was offering. Don't go, just don't. Maybe if you are going to have a baby she & her staff will be more respectful--which is awful that you have to procreate to get respect from the medical field as a patient. If you go to a Planned Parenthood, there is no judgment, just honest information. UPDATE:I just requested my medical records be transferred over & their protocol is to charge $25 for making a copy--I saw this lady one time for a PAP, and that is going to cost me $25 bucks!!! more

STAY AWAY. I saw Dr. Baptiste for about a year or so. I kept telling myself that this was going to be the last time I saw her. But, I really hate seeing a new GYN. But, my last time was truely the last time. You do a lot of waiting at this office. Can be over an hour. The doctor seemed to question her own judgement. She would run a test on me, then on my next visit she would ask herself aloud why she ran that test! She was great my forst appointment, but in subsequent appointments was always rushed and seemed as though she wasn't there. She would say she was going to write a perscription or re-do my blood pressure, but then would totally forget a few minutes later. TERRIBLE about calling with results. The straw that broke the camels back is that I had to call their office 6 times to get my pap results. I also needed to speak with the doctor and they kept saying she would call me back. Again I had to keep calling to get this woman on the phone. They really just don't seem to care about you. Just that they get paid. more

Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste is a great doctor and surgeon. She's been my ob-gyn for 12 years. She's nurturing, kind and patient. Never in a rush. For those of you who are worried about her being late, would you rather that a resident delivered your baby or would you prefer that she run across the street to the hospital to check on you like she does a million times a day? When you're in labor, she's there. The patients can wait. Babies come on their time, not ours and she won't schedule a c-section for anyone's convenience. All the smart doctors these days offer some kind of cosmetic procedure- it's a time saver. I would rather a skilled surgeon do my Botox than some dermatologist. Her Botox prices are reasonable and usually one half of what you pay on the westside. more

The wait for Doctor Dauphin may be long at times but I must say it is completely worth it. I have had 5 different ob-gyns since moving to california in 1985. 2 were male, 3 were female. My problem with the males was that i felt uncomfortable discussing certain things with them because I felt they could not truly understand what I was feeling. The other two females I visited prior to Dr. Dauphin were professional but impersonal. Dr. Dauphin is a doctor that is hard to find. She has experience as a doctor, mother and friend. She might be late sometimes. Well can you blame her? Doctors have their own lives too right? The one time I waited for her for over an hour was the time I found out she had been in the hospital preforming emergency surgery on another patient. Dr. Dauphin has saved my life. I had a tumor which she skillfully removed. I recently went to her office and was pleased to find her old staff members had been replaced with a higher level staff. more
