the best deal in NYC 5/11/2011

Best tvs/laptops/apple products in the tri -state area! A lot of people on here are bashing their service as ""unfriendly"". Those are the suckers. If you want the best deal you need to talk up the managers and employees and earn their respect. Once you get on their good side you realize how friendly they are and how flexible they can be on some of the hottest electronics in the game. Don't just take my work for it go in and try seeing if you make ""the cut"" and secure the best deal in NYC. more

It's a fun experience working with them 5/9/2011

The only place in NY I've been buying all of my computers, cameras and other electronic equipment from DataVision for years, both for my company and for my family. Hands down, they're the best in Manhattan at educating you on your options and customizing purchases with your actual needs. Not to mention, they're REAL New Yorkers, so it's a fun experience working with them. more

No complaints here 5/3/2011

I often find myself reading reviews posted by people who frequent the same establishments as I do. I must say, as it relates to my shopping experiences at DataVision, when I read negative reviews here, it always amazes me that people believe they have had negative experiences there. Over the past several years, DataVision and its store Manager, Joey Suede have been nothing less than amazing for me. The products I need are always there. There are more than enough sales people to answer any questions I may have and usually, I'm in and out of the store relatively quickly. Nah...no complaints here and if I have an electronic need, I have no reason to ever give my money to another company. more

I love their service - much better than the large electronics stores. The customer service is great! Joey helped me find the perfect laptop for my mom for Christmas - great price and great color! I work nearby, so I will purchase all of my electronics from datavision!! :) more

Just got an ipad. Apple only had a few cases, but datavision had a great selection. Joey the mgr helped me find what I needed , I'll surely be back. more

Absolutely no problems with Data Vision 3/16/2011

Ordered an LG HDTV on November 2nd through Amazon. TV was delivered via UPS on November 8th. TV was brand new in the original box, all items were included and there was no damage. TV is working great. Absolutely no problems with this seller. more

Sales people arent pushy or annoying 3/7/2011

lots of mac and pc gear, some stuff you dont see in regular stores. like most nyc camera stores you have to leave your bags at the front counter when you enter. sales people werent pushy or annoying, they pointed me toward the netbook cases and left me alone. more

The price was the best that i could find 3/3/2011

I purchased a Generation 5 16GB iPod nano listed by DataVision through Buy. After reviewing Datavision on ResellerRatings I was reluctant to continue the transaction. But the purchase transaction is channeled through Buy. and their Buy. Marketplace Guarantee protects the purchase up to $750.00. It was a safe risk. The price was the best that I could find on the web. The purchase process was flawless. I received an order and shipping confirmation with tracking number the next day. I received the item on time. I am totally satisfied with this transaction with DataVision and Buy.. I will not hesitate to buy from DataVision again. Thank You more

Great store, I highly recommend 3/1/2011

I shop at this store fo all of my electronic needs, and have built relationships with many of the helpfull salse people there. Let me start by saying the salesman absolutely DO NOT work on comission. So Pete Im sorry to tell you that you were incorrect on that, I have never had an issur as far as getting the wrong product from them either. So to the person who got a 2 gen i touch the reson im sure is because the 3rd gen touch only is for the larger gig moddled which could easilly be confirmed by going to apples websight. Im sure you bought a smaller gig touch which is why your replacement part didnt workm maybe you should do a little research 1 before purchasing and 2 certantly before writing incorrect slander about a store that I happen to know is one of the best in new york. Its clean, competitively priced, and offers more options for each type of product in orderto fufill the needs of each consumer and at each price range. This is a great store and i highly reccomend it if your ineed of electronis in midtown NY, or online. more

I'm very pleased with the customer service 1/28/2011

I'm datavision customer for 12 years, Buying from PC. Notebooks ,Audio Video equipemeent. All I can say is that I'm very pleased with customer service, equipements. I get more what any other store can provide on helping shoosing the product that fit my projects. the product are very compettive prices and high ends that its hard to get on known big chaine electronics stores. Even if the store that not carry the particular item, they ordered and call me to come pick up. Other electronics chaine should take Datavision as example on how to handle and create and mange good customer relation. I feel I have all firends over there.? more

Worst costumer service ever 1/8/2011

This place is just despicable. The sales people have absolutely no technical knowledge and all the do is try to push products off the shelf. Once they do, they forget all about you. I bought a Samsung 32"" LCD last night and when I brought it home I found the screen to be broken from the inside. I didnt drop the tv or cause it any damage so I thought: ""hey, lucky for me I bought it at a respectable shop and not online or something"", unfortunately these guys are anything but respectable. They looked at the tv and told me to basically go to hell. The store manager listened to me with a fake smile on his face and then said he can't take the tv back and I'm on my own. Less than 24 hours after I got it. :( Definitely do not do business with these store, you WILL regret it. more

When ever I need anything regarding computers, electronics this is the only place I go! Set up a business account and they will waive the taxes! Ask for Joey Suede and he will always take care of you - Tell him Alex sent you... I have been buying all my Mac computers and accessories here for nearly 10 years because they have the best prices and the best selection! Always in stock! I don't go anywhere else not even on the internet because I save money in shipping! I highly recommend this store with it's great staff!
