Darowish & Assoc Pc

I have been taking my children to the practice for 7 years and I am about to leave. The front desk staff is very impolite. Medical assistants are impatient. One of them screamed at my son, 4 at the time, because he was scared of getting a shot. Some of the doctors are great, for example Dr. Darowish and Dr. Khan, as well as their CRNP, Don. Beyond that, I feel like every appointment is a problem. I called them on Saturday morning because my daughter was inconsolably crying and had a pain in her abdomen. Dr Krall called back, was very irritated about having to do so. He was not helpful and very rude. My daughter was later that day diagnosed with pneumonia. I no longer take my kids there when they are sick, only for their annual check up until I find a better practice. I have never been to a worse medical practice. Dr. Darowish, you should really address this because you are a good guy and you deserve to have better employees and certainly better providers. more

I have been going here all of my life.. I never changed doctors offices because of my younger brother but now I am approaching nineteen. I have to get my wisdom teeth out and need a referral from Darowish to have this done. & because of being away at school I have a very limited time frame as to when I can make a trip back home to get a physical done. The woman I had to ""pleasure"" of talking to was beyond rude to me and kept making comments like ""Well since you're nineteen you SHOULD know that we leave at 5 on normal days so we do not schedule anything past 3""... and laughing when I did not know their hours/ holidays. ( Oh and just an FYI, this woman was the ""MANAGER."") She kept telling me to have my ""Mommy call."" And reminding me that as soon as I turn twenty, I must leave. If the doctors were not amazing; me and my family would have been out of there a while ago. This is not the first time the women at the front desk were rude. more

The doctors are good, but I haven't met a front desk person yet that didn't treat me and my children like we were interrupting their conversation or bothering them. If my children didn't like their doctor so much I would never ever go back to this office. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who prefers to be treated with respect or courtesy. more

This is the best Dr. for children in Central PA. They were recommended to me after having my daughter at Harrisburg Hospital. They are great. No matter when I call, someone always calls me back. They are efficient in scheduling and you never wait more than ten minutes to be seen. The staff is knowledgable and make you as well as your kids feel comfortable. My fiance who has another child who goes to another pediatrician in the area was blown away. He immediatley switched his daughter to this doctor. I would recommmend everyone take their kids here. It is kid friendly and the Dr. answers all of your questions no matter how mundane you may think they are. They accept a lot of insurances so give them a try. Seriously they are simply the best. Any parent and child would be lucky to get in at this Dr. office. Trust me my daughter is five months and we were blessed to get in!! Pros: Every need is met here. Even on the weekend!! Cons: None, they are great. Even on short notice. more

My daughter has been with Darowish and Associates since she was first born and I absolutely love them!! They were there when my daughter was born and had severe colicky and would get so mad she would make herself pass out, they immediately got her into the office when she had a hearing problem and needed further medical assistance and also Dr. Crawl had put her elbow into place. They also make sure that the appointments are readily available and the nurses always get back to you within an hour or two after calling if it is just a prescription needed. I recommend Darowish and Associates to anyone! So if you are expecting your first baby, definitely call Darowish and Associates! Pros: Close to my house, participates with alot of insurance companies, close to the hospital if further care is needed and the environment is made for the kids and to help the kids feel comfortable! Cons: None!!! more
