I will give it to them on service and appetizers...they were excellent! I have never had better service than I did at Daniels Broiler. One problem...the steaks were sub-par. You w...

Good Every Time! 11/20/2006

I have eaten at this restaraunt at two different locations, and both were great experiences. Well worth the price, a great place for special occasions. Great views. Staff are always polite, but sometimes to the extent that they seem robotic in nature. more

Great steak 10/5/2006

I had a great steak meal at Daniel's Broiler. The cuts are beautifully displayed through a glass window in a display refrigerator near the entrance. The decor is open and spacious with great views out over Lake Union (call ahead to sit at the window seats). We had a slight inconsistency in doneness of the steaks we ordered. My 12oz rib eye was on the medium side of medium rare, while a NY Strip was on the rare side of medium rare. No real issues and they were quick to fix the undercooked steak. We found the service to be a bit too practiced inpersonal. Still, overall a great experience and a recommended stop for steak lovers. more

Great Happy Hour 7/17/2006

Daniel's has some of the best steak in town - no doubt. But I really enjoy their Happy Hour (4-6pm M-F) where you can enjoy succulent steak strips that are so tender they practically melt in your mouth. Of course, Mac & Jack on tap, and some EXCELLENT red wines as well. All this for bargain prices (compared to the regular menu). :-) Be warned Happy Hour can be extremely PACKED in the lounge. I have to "hover" for a table on occasion, but it's still worth the wait! Speaking of which, the wait staff is SUPERB!! more

Who knew 4/18/2006

Last week, we went to Daniel's Broiler - mind you, I never would have chosen that restaurant on my own (steakhouse, kashrut, not a good match). But alas, we had a gift certificate that was about to expire and I figured we better use it, so I took the kids and went down town and discovered WOW, Daniel's Broiler is a really neat place. First, we arrived at 5:00 pm on a week night, perfect for the kids. We were seated by a huge window that over looked the lake. The kids were enthralled with watching the sea planes land, the boats sail, and most importantly the new baby goslings toddling around the grass by the water. I ordered a kids meal for each of the kids, then for myself I ordered an appetizer and a salad. The four of us pretty much shared everything and everything was delicious. We ordered a pasta kids meal and a salmon kids meal, an ahi tuna appetizer and the salad. Fantastic! The one negative was our server - he didn't fit with the rest of the place. We were greeted so welcomingly upon arrival and the hostess spoiled my girls, but our server was a wet noodle. Fortunately my girls didn't notice! more

amazing 12/12/2005

I had the unbelievable treat last week to go to Daniel's Broiler. The hostess walks you by an amazing case filled with beautiful steaks and gorgeous lobster tails, then seats us at a window table. The view was just breathtaking. We weren't hungry enough for full meals and the wait staff was most gracious when we announced that we were each having salads, one appetizer and sharing an entree. We ordered a bottle of wine and they treated us like we were the best customers they had even though we ordered modestly. When a big table behind us got too boisterous (they were celebrating a birthday) we asked to be moved and they whisked us away to a cozy booth away from the crowd. We were very impressed at how well the wait staff treated us and the food was outstanding. Three Cheers for Kermit, the Waiter! You made us feel like the most important people there and we had a lovely evening because of you! Totally expensive and decadent, but most worth it! We'll be back on our anniversary! more

Great food and the expense of your wallet 9/5/2005

Daniel's Broiler is acutally really good, the handful of times I've been there I have been nothing but impressed. Their steaks are about $50 each, but they are amazing. A tad on the salty side, these steaks go well with a wine or a beer. There's a happy hour but I don't know a lot about it, maybe another user can fill us in? Their salads are awesome too, as is their seafood. Man, now that I think about it...EVERYTHING is good. Bring a few friends, or take that lady of yours. All is well at Daniel's Broiler. more

Perfect for romance and celebration 8/30/2005

A very classy restaurant, Daniel's Broiler has gorgeous views, a beautiful dining room, and amazing service. The food is delicious, however very expensive. It is the perfect place for a date or celebration and a wonderful atmosphere if you want to dress up. They have valet service, so no need to worry about getting wet from the rain! It is right on the water and it is so fun to sit by the window and watch the sail boats! more
