D&R and their technician, Shawn, fixed a leaky air conditioner by diagnosing that the coils in the furnace were touching the rear wall and causing water to run down the insulation instead of in the drip pan. So the bill was just a 1 hour service call to diagnose and slide the coils forward slightly. They could've easily taken advantage of the situation and turned it into something a lot more expensive and unnecessary. I am new to the Bloomington/Normal area and didn't know who to call. After reading online reviews and checking them out on the Better Business Bureau, I decided to try D&R. I'm glad I did. Their honest, responsive service has earned my trust and business for any future needs. I'd highly recommend Richard and his team. more

First class operation! 5/4/2012

I had several issues with plumbing in my house over the last eight years. I had dealt with several plumbers in the past that either could not do the work or tried to price gouge me and try to sell me things I did not need. I got NONE of this from D & R. The customer service was beyond excellent! It was obvious that D & R truly wanted my business and wanted to leave a positive impression. The work was done well, everything was explained and it was completed in a professional manner at a quality price. more

AWESOME COMPANY 6/5/2011

D&R was very nice and polite with my plumbing emergency. I was in a real panic because of a flood going on in my basement and I call up Richard the owner of D&R and he sent out a tech right away. The plumber was real nice and polite and they went the extra mile to explain to me what had happen and help me with insurance company. I have used other companies in the past and I can honestly say that this company stands out from the rest. more

Lasting, quality work! 7/9/2010

D&R Plumbing was absolutely awesome! I waited about a month to write this review just to see if anything they worked on would need to be repaired again. The answer: NO. Everything from my electrical to my plumbing problems is working perfectly. Good Work, On Time, Courteous 5/5/2010

Rich and his crew were on time, answered all my questions. Had a leak in a pipe that made it impossible to use my washer without flooding the basement floor. They called when they were on the way, fixed the pipe in record time, and the price was reasonable--also the amount was broken down so one could know exactly what they were paying for. Toilet Issue 2/24/2010

D&R responed to our needs in a timely manner and went above and beyound showing us the issue regarding the sewer line. I found out that the issue was more involved than just a toilet and that there was a serious case of roots in the sewer line. They walked us through a few ways to address this issue and there was no pressure on us to go with either one of the fixes that they were recommending. They showed us on the camera all the issues with the sewer line and where the problems were located. No other drain cleaning company has done that for me in the past or even offered a camera service. I was happy to see the actual conditions of the pipes and now have a clear understanding of what the REAL ISSUE is and what we can do to fix those issues. Great customer service 2/23/2010

I had a problem with my toilet and had someone out that day at a time that was convenient for me. The next night an unrelated issue was still occuring with the toilet and at no charge, D&R was out to find the problem and actually took the time to show me how to fix the issue if it occurred again in the future. D&R Plumbing was very professional and on time. They did a remodel project for me and I can only say that I will refer D&R Plumbing to all my friends and family. No short cuts were done and all of their plumbing work was excellant. I never had to worry about D&R Plumbing on the clean-up, they were the one company that I can say that was concern about my property and treated us with respect. Shower Faucet 2/22/2010

Richard showed me how to fix my shower faucet at no charge. Most plumbers would have fixed the problem in 5 minutes and charged me for a full service call. We will definitely be using D&R in the future. Pros: Friendly, Professional, Helpful Cons: Better late than never more

Great help on a water heater problem 1/30/2010

We've had recurring problems with deposits in our hot water, clogging faucets, etc. and then we stopped getting hot water. I wanted to try a new plumber, so I Googled hot water heaters and came up with D&R's excellent website. Mike was quickly dispatched, and my problems are vitually eliminated. I may need to get a new water heater, as electric heaters do not do well with Bloomington water, but right now, things are very good thanks to Mike's prompt and effective diagnostics and service. Toilet backing up?? They fix it correctly! 1/29/2010

We have continued to have one of our toilets refuse to flush! We called one sewer company after another, only to have the toilet overflow once again within a month. This time we called D&R Plumbing. Mike came the same day we called, identified mold as the problem as it was stopping the water supply, and adjusted the workings of the toilet. We could not have asked for better, more courteous service than we received from Mike and D&R Plumbing. more

We have had a toilet stopped up several times. We have called more than one sewer drain companies, only to have someone come out, ""fix"" the stoppage, and have it stop up again, the last time within a month. We finally called D&R Plumbing, they came out, identified the problem, which was NOT the sewer drain, but mold clogging up the water supply! Mike was super courteous, came out the same day we called, and explained the problem and how we can avoid it in the future. We will definitely call D&R Plumbing again for any plumbing problems. more

Great service! 1/23/2010

His crew showed up a little ahead of on time which was great. They offered options as to how to thaw out a frozen sewer line. They assisted with the process and had the line clear in a few minutes. Rich called to tell me that the crew would be arriving soon as his crew was pulling out of the driveway. We had a good laugh about the call and how the line was cleared. They called me when they couldn't make it that day but came the next day. It wasn't an emergency. Mike was very polite, clean, and got the job done. I would call them back in a minute.
