D & M Heating and Air Conditioning

We needed to put in a gas furnace and called four contractors for quotes. We liked D&M Heating & Air Conditioning the best because they were the easiest to relate with. Their price was not the lowest, but we felt they gave us the best value and were the easiest to work with. They did a great job for us. more

My furnace went out and I looked D & M Heating & Air Conditioning up in the phone book. They came right away and temporarily repaired my furnace. Soon after, I bought a new one. I'm not sure how long this one is going to last, but I'm very satisfied with the installations. Hopefully it works for at least another 20 years. more

I had a problem with the furnace and thank goodness Wisconsin weather was not very cold! The part to fix the furnace was not available but we did find a new furnace with D & M Heating & Air Conditioning. Within an hour the furnace was up and running. We agreed to a plan for checking the furnace and air conditioner, and found out it was a good idea to do. We definitely signed up for the plan and D & M Heating & Air Conditioning came up in a few days, cleaned my furnace, and everything was working. In the spring, D & M Heating & Air Conditioning is coming to look at the air conditioning. I would recommend D & M Heating & Air Conditioning to anybody! They were professional and did not leave a mess in any shape or form. They are definitely out of the price range, and are comparable if not lower!I like the way they acted in such haste. I give D & M all 5's, and I wish I could give them more! The nice part about my experience with them is that they always send the same guy out, so he has a history with us. The amazing part about it is since I switched over to them and started having them do my air conditioner and furnace in Spring and Fall, I have not had a problem. The last people I had were supposedly keeping tabs on it, but every winter the furnace would go out, and it would always been on the coldest day of the year. I've been a customer of D & M Heating & Air Conditioning for about eight years now. They come in twice a year, once to service my heat and once to service my AC. I was using another company before and they kept raising their prices and raising their prices! I told that company to stick it! The people from D & M always tell me what's going on, and take their time to explain what needs to be done. They aren't ashamed to show me what they're doing. The usually send Tim out, and he takes care of both things for me. He gets along great with my dog! I'm usually in 7th heaven with he's here. Everybody at D & M is very reliable, well-trained and take great care of their customers! I think they are perfect. I've never had a bad experience with them throughout the years I've been using their services. They are "yes" and "sure, we'll take care of it" people. They know how to treat their customers. I always take a bunch of their business cards to hand out. I can't say anything less than good things about them. I'm sure they treat all of their customers like they treat me! more

I've been a loyal customer of D & M Heating & Air Conditioning for about twenty five years now! Anytime I need anything done, they are more than happy to do it for me! They are a phenomenal company to deal with. They are very customer-oriented and will go out of their way to make sure they've done everything you need done. I have a great maintenance agreement with them. I've had issues come up on a Saturday, and they'll send someone right out to fix it, wow is what I have to say about that! I originally used these D & M Heating and Air Conditioning when I moved to a new house that had an old furnace. The house had a warranty, and D & M was recommended by the warranty company. The guys came out pretty much over the holidays, as the furnace happened to go out on Christmas Eve. They came out right away, and they actually had the parts for a very old furnace. They put the parts in, and got the problem resolved very quickly. Another year, we needed pretty much everything replaced. We used D & M take out central air unit and the old furnace. They put in new units, and they did the ductwork too. They were clean, neat, very professional, and very knowledgeable. What I really liked about their business is the fact that Kurt came out and took quite a bit of time to go through the house and answer what I would say are rudimentary questions about heating and air conditioning. He was very personable, very professional, and overall I had a good experience with him. I used D & M again this year. A furnace went out in a rental property of mine, so I obviously called those guys right away because of all the experience I've already had with them. They made good recommendations with a sound cost/benefit analysis, as there is no point in replacing part after part if I'll just end up replacing the whole thing in no time. They came out the same day I called, and they put the whole new furnace in that same day as well. I've been with D & M Heating & Air Conditioning for 25 years! They installed a new furnace and air conditioning. I have a maintenance plan with D & M, and in the spring they come for the air conditioning, and in the fall they come for the furnace. They just put in a brand new air conditioning after the old one they installed in '85 was falling apart. D & M Heating & Air Conditioning has good servicemen and everything else! They do a thorough job, and explain everything they're doing. I'm not left in the dark. It's a service company. I've never had any trouble with them and the prices are fair. more

I had D & M Heating & Air Conditioning out here and the good thing about them was that they were the best price pretty much by far. Then they came and brought the wrong air conditioner. I live in a condo, and it just didn't fit. Then they brought in another one, but it was seven inches too long, but at that point I said to heck with it and I just had them put it in. Nothing passed inspection. They kept blowing me off, and blowing me off, and blowing me off, and I kept calling and calling because it didn't pass inspection. I finally got through to Kurt, and he came in and fixed the problem. Another good thing about them was what they did for me on the 4th of July. The air conditioner went down, something wrong with the battery blowing up in my thermostat, and they were good enough to come out and take care of it. I appreciated their service in that respect. But in terms of the installation and everything, they were over an hour late, they brought the wrong unit, then switched them and changed the price, which as far as I'm concerned is a bait and switch, and I kind of got irritated and just accepted it. Then it didn't pass inspection, and that really upset me. It was three or four weeks and numerous phone calls before they finally rectified it. They wouldn't return my phone calls and messages, they said they would pass it on, and obviously they didn't. That's pretty much why I would not recommend them, regardless of the price. RESPONSE FROM D & M Heating & Air Conditioning: On the date of the installation,my crew took the correct air conditiner unit to the customers home. They discovered that due to the extreme limitation on space available at the front of his condo, the unit would not fit. We brought a unit that would fit in the space and installed it and the price for the job was adjusted for the change. No 'bait and switch' as this was not advertised and changed. The job passed all inspections except for the outdoor exhaust termination. Difficulty in scheduling a return due to limited availability of the customer for the correction is the only reason that the change was not done earlier. more

I found out about D & M Heating & Air Conditioning through the phone book and chose them because they were the closest to my house. The man they sent over was Tim and every time I call D & M Heating & Air Conditioning, I call Tim. I've been using D & M for about a year, maybe a little more. They gave us heat during the winter when it was cold in the house. We also called them on the warranty twice during the year to check the heating and air conditioning. So we've used them four times over one year, five counting this fall. I recommend them! I have no problems with D & M. They're very helpful. I've had D & M Heating & Air Conditioning since 1997. They have put in two furnaces for me and an air conditioner. I just called when I had a house that need work done on it. They converted a furnace from oil to gas for me. I think I was one of their first customers. I don't think the business has been around too long, maybe a couple of years. I just always stayed with them because their technicians are very nice, and the office people are great to talk to. We've been customers of D & M Heating & Air Conditioning for about seven years now. These guys are complete gentlemen. They really represent the company well. They are respectful and courteous and always introduce themselves when they arrive. I've grown to know one of the gentleman over the past four years, since he's the one that always comes out for us. They are also knowledgeable and take the time to answer our questions and to let us know what they'll be doing and what they've done. They are also very clean and don't leave a huge mess for me to clean up after they leave. Very rarely do I encounter such genuinely nice people working in a service field like this, who are so friendly and willing to do the job to 110 like these guys do. The employees at D & M Heating & Air Conditioning are always knowledgeable, courteous and willing to do whatever we want done. We used them for our first home, there they installed air and furnace systems. Then we just recently called on them again for our second home to install a furnace. The installers are highly professional. I find the validity of all of the workers refreshing. Kurt is a very nice guy to deal with. I also feel that the pricing is comparable to other companies. I think if you hire D & M, you'll be very happy with the service you receive and satisfied with the quality of the work they provide. more
