D&L is an unbelievably unprofessional place. I'm surprised it's been in business for so long. In mid-August, I brought my brand new BMW to get the windows tinted. To my horror, the technician proceeded to shatter the passenger-side window within twenty minutes. While I understand that accidents happen, I am extremely disappointed in D&L's complete disregard for customer service. Here are some highlights of my unfortunate experience:
1. D&L had agreed to replace my window with an OEM window at a nearby glass shop despite my insistence on having the work done at the BMW dealership. I finally agreed to compromise, yet when I got my car back it was installed with an aftermarket window rather than the OEM I was promised. In addition, there was shattered glass stuck in the door panel that continued to fall out several days after the incident.
2) D&L refused to let me take my car to the glass shop until after I paid for the botched tint job at a mere 10% discount.
3) D&L denied responsibility for three long gashes (obviously caused by the shattered glass) on the passenger-side door.
4) The management was uncooperative, insincere, and shockingly rude throughout the whole ordeal. They even went as far as accusing me of trying to commit insurance fraud.
So if you're in the Baltimore area and are considering getting your windows tinted, do NOT, under any circumstances, go to D&L! They have no manners and no sense of responsibility whatsoever.
