Best Service Ever!!!! 2/25/2011

I have been going to D& L Auto for all my repairs for many years. The owners and staff are very patient and care about my needs. Ive had ZERO hassles with anybody and I get my service done in a timely manner. Their prices are all fair and reasonable. A very nice family business that welcomes me everytime I go there.I would recommend EVERYONE to go there for all their repair needs. I have relocated out of state and I feel like everybody here are crooks and very rude. It definitely makes me appreciate the kind business I received from D&L Auto. I will always be a D&L Auto Fan!!!! more

Not going back! 11/8/2010

I've dealt with these people for 10 or 15 years and have never had a problem before. The family was always courteous, usually getting me out of some jams at a reasonable cost. Now, something has changed, because the person I talked to on the phone today, was rude and discourteous when I called to find out how much, (just a ballpark figure), it was to change a master cylinder in my son's car. It was like he had little or no interest in being of help. He asked some questions about things I didn't exactly know the answer to, but was willing to call back to with the answers, but never got the chance to mention that I would. He just kept saying to bring it in for a more acurate quote, which I agree would be best, but he seemed to get fed up and said ""have a good day"" and hung up on me. I didn't get a name, but you can bet your ass it would be on here if I knew it! I hope the owners read these reviews and reconsider that person's employment, or at least his phone answering skills, (doesn't sound like the 1st time - see other reviews), and either get someone more patient on the phone or start answering themselves again like they used to. I'd had some work done on this car earlier this year with no problem, but if this is the way they now treat a phone call, I'd imagine that the service is getting to be like ReadyToBlow mentioned...so, I'm not going back! more

Perfection 11/12/2009

These guys are great! With my busy schedule, I was able to call, be seen within 15 minutes of my call and out the door within 20. Polite, caring for their customers and all around a great group of guys. Thanks for being part of the Manchester community! more

Horrible Service, Rude Customer Service - CROOKS 1/12/2009

I brought my 2000 Volvo to D&L for routine matinenance and preparation for a cross country road trip. After a bill of $1000+, I thought the car was ready to go. Included in this repair was a check and maintenance of the timing belt. I made it to my destination - only to find the timing belt broke, and seizing the motor. \r \r When I called D&L - I was basically told I was up the creek - I wasn't anywhere near their garage, and they wouldn't honor the warranty because I was out of state, half way across the country. \r \r This is a horrible establishment, and the folks there are crooks and liars. Don't waste your time. Cons: The fact that they're still in business. more

Avoid D&L Auto if you can. 4/2/2008

Recently I had my first, and a very unpleasant, business with D & L Auto. I found the guy's attitude arrogant and the job sloppy. \r \r I had a front axle, boot, and the transmission replaced there. Right after the work I found out, when cold, the engine would shake like someone was choking it. I had to go back twice for this. Eventually the guy told me the motor mount was wrong and that caused the vibration when engine was cold. He did rework and the phenomenon improved but not completely gone.\r \r Then I heard the car making a noise that was going faster and slower according to the driving speed. I called the shop and he yelled at me. \r \r Along the entire deal the guy did not call me for diagnose, quotation, or progresses. I took my car there for the boot and axle problem first. His employee told me I might have a slipping transmission. So I requested the shop to check the transmission. Then nothing was done on the busted boot and when I called he told me his transmission guy was going on vacation for two weeks. So I drove my car in rain and snow for two weeks with an open boot.\r \r I guess I was stupid enough not to go to another shop when being told ""the customer came second"". However, I really hated his attitude.\r \r If you go there, I wish you a better experience than mine.\r Cons: Sloppy job. Poor attitude. more
