Best

I love goinmg to concerts here. Fun, Fun, Fun Pros: You get wet if it rains and cold if it is cold!! Cons: Great Shows.

Worst

The CMWP is expensive for any good seats below the grass hill. There are poles located between the hill audience and the stage. The color coded parking lots are located a good hal...

The Best of the Best 10/27/2002

The Pavilion is the best place in Houston to see a concert: good acoustics, good sightlines, nice & couteous staff, beautiful facility. Pros: beautiful, friendly, energetic more

Not that great 10/24/2002

Reserved Seats are great - the hill stinks - sound level is very low and you can't get into the music. Cons: Sound on Hill more

this place sucks 10/17/2002

talk about the worst place to go see a show. you sit on the hill that they wet down before the show. cant bring blankets, or bags. talk about crap. You couldnt pay me enough to go their again. All i can say for houston is Sidecar Pub. Pros: noting, jack, nothing Cons: people, people, prices more

Soak the Grass 10/15/2002

Been there many times, I think that they water the grass prior to every show to encourage the rental of their chairs. We can be in a drought but, the grass is always muddy. I like the venue, great sound! The only exception is; the concessions are lousy at best. Pros: Sound, convenience, Acts Cons: Wet, Exiting, concessions more

Alright 10/14/2002

The place has two stages for more acts. There are also many gates for ease of traffic. There also two ways to get there. The bad things about it is that it is in the woodlands and that makes it horrible. Woodlands people suck and they are stuck a-holes who drive soccer mom SUV's and have no idea how huge there bohemoth vehicles are. So good concerts. horrible native woodlands people........ the price of good music venues huh? Pros: Big seating area, many ticket booths, Hardy toll roads Cons: Woodlands people, Woodlands Police, Woodland SUV's more

very nice 8/4/2002

the stage is large, and so is the seating area. there are screens so that you can see the band if you are sitting far away, the sopund is good. it is very full and expensive, but so are all concerts. the workers there are very helpfull. it is safe. i would definately go there again. Pros: comfortable, excellent shows Cons: crowded, bad parking, expensive more

Perfect concert atmosphere 8/3/2002

This place is great! Not overwhelmingly large, but just right - crowd wise and sound wise. Plus the staff always seems to actually appreciate your being there. Pros: Good parking more

The Woodlands Rocks 8/1/2002

Great place to see live music. Park at the mall and walk. Better to get covered seats in the rainy season though unless you like that Woodstock (i.e. muddy) kind of experience! Pros: Music acts, Location Cons: Parking, Uncovered seats more

Absolutely the Best in Houston 8/1/2002

The Pavilion is the best in Houston. Great music, beautiful setting, nice staff, great facility. Pros: Beautiful, music, friendly more

Cool place in summer heat 7/23/2002

The Pavilion offers such a great variety of performances, from the Houston Symphony and Houston Ballet to the hottest rock concerts and children's events. Most events, especially performing arts shows, are very affordable. Picnics on the lawn are awesome! Can't think of a better place for a family outing in the summer! Pros: No mosquitoes, Safe, Good parking more

A MUST go 7/23/2002

Don't be put off by the term ""outdoor musical venue"" in Houston, even in the summer. The master planners of The Woodlands have thought of everhthing. The 17,000 seat complex includes over 2,000 reserved seats under fans and A/C. But the BEST spot to view many acts is on the hill, where the breeze keeps you comfortable. Class acts, clean facility, safe environment. Lots of family shows. Pros: Full moon viewing, Quality acts, Family Friendly more

preferred by most artist! 7/18/2002

The CWMP is a great success story! No other venue in Houston has changed and adapted so well to accommodate their artist and their visitors. Every year there is something new at the CWMP, unlike other venues where the only change is in the name. The CWMP strives to keep up to date in all areas not only for the visitors but the artists as well. And for those of you who don't know the CWMP has one of the best program all-volunteer organizations, Partners, that provides financial support and educational outreach programs to nurture the classical performing arts in the regional community. How many other venues offer their community this or anything else like it? Last but not least it is the summer home of the Houston Symphony. Pros: Capacity, Artist, Enviroment Cons: Rain or Shine more

NOT GOOD 5/30/2002

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a horrible place to hold concerts. First of all it's like 30 miles out of Houston and with traffic and never ending construction it's a headache to get there. Second parking sucks! You park in these lots e.g. Blue, Orange, etc., which are a long walk from the pavilion and to find the lots in the wooded surroundings is another headache. Finally when your there you find that there's a tiny pit area which is impossible to get tickets to so you either sit in reserved sitting which for concerts suck or way in the back on the lawn. Its not an intimate setting so therefore you lack the vibe you would feel at the Verizon Wireless Center or another smaller venue. I hate this place but I have to go there if the bands I want to see are playing there. Cons: Bad Parking, Bad seating, Distance more
