Good venue before the heat sets in 4/24/2006

We saw Kenny Chesney here this weekend. It was our first visit to this concert location. It is quite a drive from Katy so we actually stayed overnight in the Woodlands. The Pavilion is conveniently located next to the Woodlands Mall and a Marriott hotel. Being an outdoor concert, the sound was ok but not great. It was a sold out show so every seat and lawn area was filled. It was crowded but not unpleasant. The weather was perfect. However, I don't know how much I'd enjoy a concert here during the hot and humid summer months. I will definitely go back when the right group comes through. more

Long story short: if you're a fan of Ozzy Osbourne, then put "buy tickets" on your to-do list. The frontman for Black Sabbath and reigning king of MTV reality shows is hitting the road again for Ozzfest 2005. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, check out the other artists performing at the Pavillion: Lynyrd Skynyrd; Earth Wind & Fire; Dave Matthews; Foo Fighters; and Weezer. Seating houses up to 16,000 people and the outdoor setting gives you an unobstructed view of your surroundings. more
