After due diligence research on electric bikes, I recently purchased the IZIP Zuma step-through Cruiser, built by Currie Tech. I expected a quality ebike and I GOT it! I didn'...

wish I would of saved up and bought a new bike 4/24/2013

after seeing a few ezip trailz bikes at a couple shops arround orlando fl.I went on line to find parts to rebuild one. the two shops currie says have parts that are close to me,have nothing.now I am stuck with a bike I paid good money for and I need parts that I can only go on line for.I`m very upset, I was looking forward to riding this bike to work(8 miles). Now I am stuck with a bike that needs a lot of work and with battery reviews I,m afraid I'll get a one and be out the money more

Currie Technologies suck 3/13/2013

I am dissapointed of this so called Currie Technologies. Just wait and see when your battery gets disfunctional, then you will see that the warrenty does not mean anything. This company if full of it, a year will go by and all they have done is empty promises. more

I"m a 51 year old kid again. 12/15/2012

I'm 51 and have been disabled most of my life and using a eletic wheelchair, not anymore!! I just love this ezip 750 that I bought from my sons roommate. The best investment for a piece of mind. I never felt safe in the ele. wheelchair and I would suffer because I hardly used it. Why use something that makes you afraid to leave the house?? I feel completely safe and secure on my "lil zipper". And the big plus is that most places will let you park inside because it is eletric. I love it!!! more

IZIP E3 Vibe - Enjoyed and Recommended 12/15/2012

I own and enjoy the IZIP E3 Vibe DF Lithium Ion (LiFePO4) 9.6Ah bike which I ride in MA and RI state parks and on the Boston and New Bedford waterfronts. I weigh 270 lbs and appreciate the PAS feature that assists me when I am tired and going up hills or into the wind. I purchased the bike for exercise so I only use the TAG feature when I really get tired and want to keep moving. There have been no problems when I have been caught in the rain or in the cold weather. Another feature that I like are the fat tires that makes coasting easier than other bikes I have ridden. My wife has ridden my E3 Vibe bike a few times and now wants one of her own. more

e Zip 750-Awesome Investment!!!!!!! Great for Adults and Kids Activities!!! 10/4/2012

I bought the floor sample with No Charger or Battery. When I called the customer service # the good people at Currie Technologies hooked me up with a battery and charger. Talk about great Guest Service. I charged the battery for the recommended 10 hours and was impressed from the very start. At a 100 charge this thing FLYS!!!! I highly recommend getting a spare battery. Very wise to do. I weigh 167 lbs. and was able to go 8.7 miles on a SINGLE CHARGE! This is the best way to stick it to the gas companies for all the high priced gas gougeing. Don't buy gas. Go Electric. I will soon be using this Scooter for Bike Rodeo Events for kids. 6 minutes? really, I only get to ride 6 minutes? 10/4/2012

bought the ezip e4.5 and as the specs indicated no one over 180 lbs could ride it I assumed 135 lbs was doable. Well, I get 6 minutes riding time out of this abomination of a scooter. No hills, no extreme temperatures. I find that despicable in a $200 scooter. I sent an email to Currie to ask if that was normal for a scooter that is about two months old. No one even bothered to respond. The scooter is plugged in consistently except for the six minutes I take it down to the post box and walk it home. Thanks alot Currie Technologies for this pint sized piece of... I'm posting this all over the internet at every location that asks for a review so no one else gets taken to the cleaners like I've been. more

Currie IZIP Zuma 1 year eview 7/22/2012

I am a happy owner of a Currie IZIP Zuma for one year. I live in Brooklyn and travel in the NYC metro area every day. I would say on average I ride my ebike 4 times a week all year round. I just now returned from a 20 mile trip from Bed-Stuy to Coney Island. So happy! This bike blends in with other bikes. It' slick, sleek, and comfortable. The only draw-back from this bike is that last summer my controller busted and it took 2 months to replace - but during this time I was treated very well by the Currie customer service team as well as the bike technicians in my area. Thanks! more

IZIP Express 6/20/2012

I recently had the pleasure of evaluating this bike as part of a feasibility study in Danville, VA. I had the bike for 2 weeks and rode it about 75 miles. My impressions were that the bike handled well, had more than enough power and was quite comfortable. While the speed of this bike is fun, what is truly impressive is how easily it climbs hills and long grades. Our community is very hilly and some of the streets would be heartbreakers to climb on a regular bike, particularly when getting restarted after stopping at a light. I'm sure that drivers were surprised when they were outrun by this bike from a stoplight to about 25mph! Overall a great bike that was a joy to ride. more

Currie was a big help with my 2012 Reach the Beach Ride! 5/22/2012

This last weekend I finished the 2012 Reach the Beach Bike Ride on my iZip to support the American Lung Assoc. Currie made a very generous donation to my ride. Details at http://action.lung.org/site/TR?px=4506560&fr_id=5060&pg=personal. Not only did I raise $178, but my PGE team raised $12,858!!! Details at http://action.lung.org/site/TR/Bike/ALAMP_Mountain_Pacific?team_id=41685&pg=team&fr_id=5060. BTW, I rode my last iZip for about 5K miles to work everday, and just bought another iZip to do the same! Thank you Currie! (:Joe Mayer:) more

Awesome Bike IZIP E-3 Zuma electric Bike by Currie 5/1/2012

Well I am now a big fan of this electric bike. I rented it on Catalina Island in CA at Browns Bikes and cruised the hills of Catalina as easily as if I had a motorcycle. You can go where motorcycles are not allowed and feel safe knowing you can get there with ease. A wonderful experience! I just got to have one! more

EZIP scooters are wonderful for all your scootering needs. 4/23/2012

EZIP 750, 900 & 1000 all provide good power, excellent battery life. I just love my scooters & my dogs really enjoy running along side for some much needed exercise. more

Loved this bike 4/4/2012

I bought this bike so that my son would have transportation to and from work. It has worked out very well and has been very dependable. He has to go 12 miles each way and has never had a problem. more

eZip Trailz Electric Bicycle by Currie Technologies 3/19/2012

Had some issues at the start. The battery had failed after the 9th day of ownership. Currie Technologies made things right. They had me test a few things on the bike and are sending a replacement. The bike will put a smile on your face when it helps you power up hills. The bike is heavy and doesn't have regenerative braking but for the price it can't be beat. Overall quality is outstanding, it is very well built and a good design for a hybrid bike. more

Mongoose M-350 Fun, nimble, durable vehicle 3/7/2012

We bought about 6 years ago as a Christmas present for my daughter. She liked and used it for about a year then lost interest. It was my turn with it. I would ride it all around the lakes where I live and had a blast. 2 years ago it stopped working so I stored it under a tarp. The other day I got the bug to fix it and gas and parking just went up so perfect timing. the tires were flat and some rust had started. I found & repaired the break in the throttle circuit. Gave it a cleaning and a service and bought a new front tube. The battery took a charge and has been working like the day we bought it. Simply a great design. I'm glad you still make em and I will tell people where they can get one if asked. Best, Jon more

With gas prices so high... 2/22/2012

I LOVE MY SCOOTER! From the purchase to recieving the scooter through the assembly, I couldn't have asked for more. I am thrilled with the quality of the scooter. Most people think its awesome. I only had one friend snicker at me for riding a scooter. With gas prices so high and getting higher, I'm the one with the great big smile passing all those gas stations. Thank You Currie! more

I EZip all over the campground I am at 2/17/2012

I really like my EZip 1000. It rides nice and it is well built.I have recommended this scooter and that person has bought one also. We travel and we can fold the scooter down and it doesn't take much space. more

Ezip 1000 2/15/2012

I now own my 2nd electric scooter from Currie. My first scooter gave me many years of riding and with the exception of having to only replace 1 flat tire, the only maintenance was replacing the battery a couple of times. I now have upgraded to the Ezip 1000. It is very smooth, fast, and quiet. The front and rear suspension make a huge difference. The base of the scooter is higher of the ground than my previous scooter, so riding it while standing is not an option; must ride seateded. This is not a bid deal, however. I did have an issue with the rear wheel assembly making loud clicking noises after only 2 weeks of riding. Customer service sent parts, but I was unable to remove the existing ones. They eventually sent me an entire rear wheel assembly. I had to find an experienced mechanic, (the one Currie authorized to service the scooter was in another city and therefore not an option) to replace the rear wheel assembly. Even he had trouble removing the existing part. Eventually he succeeded and it is running well now. Customer service was helpful and were willing to refund my purchase, but that ended up not being necessary. more

Great Bike for areas with lots of hills 2/14/2012

We live in an area with lots of steep hills. I purchased this for my wife and she loves it. We go on 10 to 12 mile rides in areas with lots of steep hills and she never has a problem getting up a hill. more

The IZIP Rapido is a pleasure to ride! 2/14/2012

I've had several months, now, to test out the IZIP Rapido in my regular work commute. The Rapido is solidly constructed and is made of high quality components. Not only can you choose between pedal assist and touch and go, depending on your mood, but while in pedal assist, you can twist the throttle any time you're pedaling to get an immediate power boost for that little hill or to make it quickly across an intersection. The shifter is smooth and sure, and braking is strong and predictable. It's a great improvement on my first electric bicycle in every way, and it makes daily commuting by bike a viable proposition. I'd suggest to anyone with a short commute and a relatively benign climate to give it a try! more
