They are the biggest rip-off ever. I called them to open up my house because I locked the keys inside. They told me $49 on phone. When they came out the handed me an invoice for $149. When I asked him why he said because it's a schlage lock they take a lot of time and are hard to open. after arguing for 20 minutes we finally agreed on $100. I was really upset about the sudden price jump but I just wanted to to get into my home. He came up to the door and slide his debit card through the crack and the door was open in a split second. I had already paid him... so I was like.... That's it? He said ""YEP!"" I got really upset with his lies so I started arguing with him again. He was cussing at me and called me a stupid bit**. I told him that he just defrauded me. do not trust *PAUL* . that is his name. he will scam you faster then you can blink. $100 bucks is a lot of money for me. I basically cried myself to sleep that night. DO NOT TRUST CURLEYS OR PAUL. THEY ARE SCAMMERSSSSSSS!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!! more

Honest work done right! 2/5/2011

It's hard to find a good locksmith who won't stick you with a big bill when you are desperate.... Curly's took care of my re-keying and did it at an affordable price. I was desperately trying to remove some wheel locks (keyed locks) from my porsche lugs to change my tires. The car was purchased with the wheel locks, but no key. This was something I had been trying to do for months. I was able to get one lock off after many hours of picking. I brought them a blank and the lock and the owner was able to make me a new key in minutes at a very reasonable price. Support these guys with your business.... We want to keep them around. more

Great Customer Service 12/10/2009

Had a lock that broke an internal piece. Curly's found the part from stuff on their bench. Replacing the lock would have happened since this is not a service part.\r \r Wanted a key for a truck I purchased. Thought I needed a coded key because of the wear on the key. Curly's determined this was not necessary. The copied key works great. \r \r Brought them a lockset with no key to be rekeyed. Did this for about $10 which I thought was a bargin. \r \r Friendly people eager to solve your problem at a fair price. I use the 164th store. Pros: Fast, friendly, knowledgable, reasonably priced more

What a great place to get a key made! 6/14/2009

I lost both sets of keys to my Kawasaki Ninja. Didn't have the key cut number. I made umpteen phone calls to locksmiths. The quotes ranged from $75-$150+. That was for on site, and at the place of business. I called Curly's, took my bike to them, and they took care of me faster than I could have imagined! AND it cost me less than 1/2 of any other place. I am thrilled. They even unloaded my bike for me so I could ride home. Go Curly's!! You rock. Pros: Curlys was fast, friendly, exceptionally well priced. Cons: Can't think of one. more

I'll never use them again. 5/28/2009

I purchased a used truck a while ago and I noticed the ignition switch was loose. Eventually part of the ignition switch separated and although it still worked I was afraid over time the key might become damaged without the additional key guard to turn the ignition. I never had trouble with the key jamming, or the ignition sticking. When I was pulling into the parts store I use for car parts I saw the side of the building that had Curly’s advertisement and decided to give it a try.\r The initial person I talked to told me it would cost about $50.00 maybe a little more if it needed a key cut to code. That amount was within my budget so I got my truck. The initial person I talked to wasn’t available and the person who was available told me it would be $76.00. Keven told me the additional amount would be to cut a key to code and the labor to remove and install the lock. I asked why it would need a key cut to code when the ignition still worked smoothly with the key I had. My concern was it would require all the locks to be re-keyed. His response was that I had obviously busted the lock because it wasn’t working smoothly. It was clear to him that I wouldn’t be able to understand his explanation, and he couldn’t be bothered to try. \r I have several rental houses and I both replace locks and re-key them when tenants move out. I have taken locks apart for the last 20 years in the process of doing repairs and maintenance. Part of the reason I was asking the questions I asked was to determine what was necessary for the lock on hand, and I have also been looking for a service company to do lock work when I am not available. \r The price was still within my budget so I had the technician do the work although at this point I had doubts about his ability. After he was done I asked about a security lock the truck had, and his response was he didn’t know anything about it. I asked if it was a dealer item and he didn’t know. \r When I got home I parked the truck to unload it, and when I went to move it the ignition wouldn’t turn. The steering wheel moved freely and it was fully in park so I called Curly’s. I was told I would be charged a service fee if the problem was not the lock. \r Two technicians showed up; one was Kevin. He removed the ignition switch and got it to work. I asked what he had done and what the problem was his response was it wasn’t the lock “It must be something inside.” I took that to mean in the column and asked what it could be but he didn’t know. I was charged $43.28 a service call for an ignition that before Curly’s worked on it, worked fine.\r Now I can’t trust that at some point I won’t have the same problem again. What I was initially told would be $50.00 has now become $125.51 and it has apparently led to new problems. I have never met a service provider who knew less or was more arrogant. At this point I feel as though I was set up and taken advantage of.\r Cons: arrogant, ignorant, poor customer service more
