Atrocious Customer Service 12/5/2008

Probably the worst service experience I've ever had with a power equipment dealer. The service manager was arguably the most arrogant tech I've ever met. I brought an older boat in to have a forward control box mounted. The boat is used for duck hunting primarily and is not flashy like the new boats sold at the store, but I had already dropped $1000 at Crystal in a motor rebuild and didn't expect the rude reception I received when pulling into the service bay. After much hemming and hawing about the age of the boat (apparently that matters) the service manager sighed and told me he'd 'do me a favor' by working on the boat, but that it would be placed last in the work queue and any incoming work contracts would get precedence. I had no other options as far as where I could take it, so I had to agree. Two weeks passed and I called to see what the status of the boat, and the service manager acted insulted that I would call and reminded me that my boat was low priority. I would recommend avoiding Crystal Pierz like the plague. more

Worst customer service ever. 5/19/2008

Worst customer service ever and very poor quality work. It took the rogers location 4 months to fix a gas gauge and minor problem in the steering counsel. They left my boat out in the yard from October through January. As a result the cover is now stretched out and ripped due to snow load. They also drained 20 gallons of gas from my tank to look at the fuel sending unit, which wasn't even the problem and did not replace the fuel. When asked about the missing fuel the service manager replied not our problem and nothing we could do. I said it was probably an honest mistake and would return if you could replace the fuel. He replied it was out of his control and would not authorize any replacement of fuel. Pros: none that I can think of Cons: bad service, personnel more

Worst Customer Service 12/7/2007

We bought a nice Glastron boat several years ago from Crystal Pierz Marine here in MN. We have taken it to them every year for an oil change and winterization. We have had some minor problems with the boat and Crystal has never been very helpful. Oh well, customer service is not thier strong suit. Anyway, this last summer the engine died. We took it to the nearest boat repair and they told us it was the water pump impeller. It should be replaced every 2-3 years. Since it was not, it cracked and broke and this caused the engine to overheat and need to be replaced. We called the warranty company and filed a claim. They told us this was routine maintenance that we did not perform so they could not cover it under the warranty. We called Crystal Pierz and they told us it was not thier responsibility to recommend routine things. They only do what they are told and we should have read the owners manual. Pros: Large Glastron Dealer Cons: Horrible Customer Service, Rude Salespeople, Rude Service People more
