Awesome place! 2/24/2017

I have gone to the Crystal Parrot for 20 years. Edna and her staff have always been there for me and my birds, both during business hours and after. I have bought all of my birds from Edna, and her help and genuine concern for the birds don't stop after the birds leave the store. She and her staff are there for services like wing and nail clipping, boarding, well bird clinics, and advice any time someone has questions regarding their bird, whether it was bought from Edna or not. I highly recommend the Crystal Parrot. Edna may seem gruff, but her main concern is for the well being of the bird. Visit them, you won't be sorry. more

Edna should get counseling for her rude behavior 12/9/2010

Well, I went to this store and I inquired about a bird she had in the store. She did not seem interested because she thought I could not pay for the bird. She was rude and inconsiderate and how in the world can you run a bussiness if you behave like that? I asked for some bird advice and again she talked with an air of superiority and told that she didnt think I could even hand-feed a bird. I agree with all other raters. Never Again!! 6/23/2010

At first glance, this store seems like the place to go and they do have a variety of birds. As a previous breeder with 10+ years of experience, I was impressed at first. We had driven over an hour just to see the place. I placed a deposit on a cockatiel that was already eating seed and veggies, knowing it was close to weaning. I visited every week per the agreement when purchasing a bird from the store (an hour drive both ways). Over two months later, the bird was still not weaned and the owner then proceeded to tell me she wouldn't sell the bird unless I bought her food (months worth). I'm sorry, but I cut my own veggies, and feed both seed and pellet. I can get my own food. This trickery was not part of the purchasing agreement and it makes me think that the whole "visiting" request is simply another scheme to get people in the store. In my opinion, people should want to come in your store, not be forced into it. So, here I am, left with no bird. Rude, dishonest more
