Cross Cut Tree Service

Crosscut, you are full of it and you know it. This company doesn't even deserve one star. Frank Cross was working on a neighbor's home (from our referral) when he dropped a tree branch that bounced off of our roof onto our deck. He shattered our table top, broke our umbrella, knocked off the gutters guards, and caused our dogs to rip down the interior blinds of our home. He also did not have permission to enter our property and was trespassing to ""clean up"" the mess. The clean up was piss poor and we spent hours ensuring the glass was picked up so that it would not get stuck in our dogs paws. He claimed he would pay for it right away, its been four week and nothing. They never answer the phone, never call back, and are a crappy crappy example of a company. Company my ass, they are a bunch of crooks. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! They require babysitting and would rob you of your own home if they could. They were dumb enough to leave us two notes taking total responsibility for the accident. One note actually stated that we should have moved our furniture (note: they didn't even tell us they were coming) and therefore they would only pay for half. As if we were at fault!!! We have turned them into collections. They are the type of people that ignore you and think you will back down. Not here- we are taking them for every penny we deserve as well as filing trespassing charges. I can't wait to face them in court. :) See you then Frank and Frankie, my fellow Hoosiers. Good luck! Called them to cut down tree. They came out 3 days after promised. I told them I wanted tree hauled off after cut down. After cutting down the tree they proceeded to throw the cut pieces into a wooded area between me and neighbors yard. They complained the entire time that the job should have paid more . Also, when they cut down tree they still left 3 feet sticking out of ground! These guys are not professional and do NOT pay them up front. They wanted 1/2 cash and 1/2 check. They got cash but I cancelled payment on check since job was not done. DO NOT USE!!! more

[UPDATE]\r \r After 7 days of constant calling, nothing. I had to threaten legal action against Mark and Cross Cut before anyone came by and took care of the tree. When it was taken care of, it was by another contractor. The whole thing took an hour.\r \r Next time, I'll just call the contractor. Pros: The price...still not worth the wait, fighting or time spent pestering them. Cons: They would never have done the work had I not badgered them to do so. Even when it was done, it was late and after LOTS of fighting for it. more

DO NOT USE CROSS CUT TREE SERVICE. The guy came by in a Cross Cut truck and told us he was slow and needed to keep his guys busy. We decided to go ahead and have a tree cut down. He told us that he would give us a cheaper price for paying cash. He wrote us a receipt on a Cross Cut Letterhead invoice. The invoice said paid in Full. He was suppose to be here the very next day.... It has been 4 weeks & the phone numbers on the receipt have been disconnected. After researching I found another number & acted like I wanted an estimate. An employee with the company called me & told me Mark Campbell no longer works with them. I need to get Mark Campbell to do it. Mark Campbell was representing them in a Cross cut truck & wrote me a receipt on Cross Cut letter head & now Cross Cut is telling me they are not responsible. I am out of $300. Cons: Never showed up after I paid them in full. more

I highly DO NOT recommend these guys - they are not reputable. Unprofessional and con artists is what I would add to whistleblowers comments. I am out $400 because of them. more
