Creative Fireplace

I purchased an Enviro EF-2 pellet stove app. 5 years ago from these guys and love the unit. In March 2011, I had to replace the convection blower to the tune of $500 for parts and labor. they charged me $250 for a $170 part and $250 for the service call. I ran the stove about two months when the blower started making a loud noise like a bearing was loose inside and the stove stopped working. I called the service dept two weeks before Christmas and didn't receive a call back. Called again a week before and spoke to the sales dept. because service still didn't call back. I was told they wouldn't be able to get out before the holiday as they were closing for vacation. They ended up being closed for 2 weeks during which I had no use of my pellet stove, which is my primary heat source. I called again on 1/3/12 and on 1/4/12 finally reaching someone to speak with. They told me the part they installed for $500 was only warrantied for 30 days and there was nothing they could do about it. So I am out $500 and my stove is again nonoperational. These people are completely inept. They close for 2 weeks during a critical time of the winter season - and then don't stand behind the parts and service they provide. This company has had nothing but complaints from all the people I have talked to in this area and they are not worthy of being a dealer or service provider. more

Whether cleaning, parts, service, or sales...best treatment and explanations. The store has one of the best selections of pellet stoves around. more

They sold me a fireplace and all i got was the run-around after i paid in full. It took over four weeks for my ordered fireplace to come in and another three weeks to have these hackers install the unit. I wish I never did business with these e guys. Once they take your money the customer service ends and they could care less about you. Please stay far far away from this dump! Trust me you will get screwed one way or another they are very unprofessional!!!! more

I have purchased from this business, as have my parents, and a large percentage of my neighborhood. They have always been friendly and quick to respond. I don't understand these other comments, though I will say hat signing up to comment is quite a process, so I can see how the few would take the time while the majority (happy customers) do not. more

Initially we were very pleased with the attention and customer service we were given when purchasing a pellet stove. Once money was paid it was a whole different story. Stove was installed without a permit. We ended up paying double for a permit due to his negligence. (According to town official, Creative Fireplace is no longer allowed to install anything in our town.) They installed our stove, gave us the wrong manual, gave a brief overview and left. ($400 to install). When we would go in to get our ""free"" ton of pellets, they barely made eye contact and were extremely unfriendly. They close their shop in March for vacation and we have found them to be closed when they should be open according to their posted store hours... I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN, and highly recommend going elsewhere! more

They are so nice when you go to purchase something, but if for some reason you can't install it, just try to get your money back, even if you haven't recieved the item yet!!!! They turn into screaming, threatening, unprofessional, ripoffs!! Save youself the head ache, don't chance it, go some where else!! more

I shopped around and found this store pretty busy. They could use more sales help. When I got waited on I appreciated all the time and information it took to teach me about the stove I thought I might want to but. I found my sales woman to be very imformative and friendly. (I found a similar stove on-line for less money (not a lot) but they could not tell me when I could get it for sure.) Creative Fireplace told me due to the volume of customers they have they do not service what they don:t sell so if I needed parts or service, I;d be out of luck. Sounds mean but after you see how busy they are, you understand. I am going back today because I liked this store best and trust them the most. This site tells me that I have yo write more but I've said everything I think I have to say. more

I went in to price a pellett stove, was told $2,999.00 that is it. If you do not like the price leave. Priced the stove in several other shops foud it for $925.00 dollars less and that included the delivery from 40 for miles further away. Creative Fireplace price did not include delivery. The attitude was one of I'm the onlly one you can get it from. Her statement was ""It is the beginning of the season, this is what you will pay, I do not need to discount it. It is not the summer, I do not have to discount it. Someone else will buy it at this price."" Pros: Easy access Cons: Price gouging more

you really can't call the people who work there salesman, they help you and teach you but don;t shove stuff down youur throat.... everybody seems willing to spend as much time as you need more

best selection around and really great people to deal with the store is right on Route 20 more

This is a full service hearth store and very professional, yet very warm and friendly people. They are open seven days a week in season and much shorter hours in the summer (closing this year for most of it). They definitely have the best location around (real easy to get to). These are the guys that run the informational commercial on cable channel three. (note they don't force product down your throat, they help you to make great choices for your particular needs) The service department is knowledgeable but with hundreds of customers you might have to wait a couple of days for an appointment or service in the dead of winter when the need for increased service coincides with the limited usage in the cold months. If they don't have the parts in stock it is not their fault... they did not make the stove... they wind up servicing it for free because the manufacturer does not reimburse for warranty repairs...... so I think that the previous customer has misplaced anger, perhaps really towards the manufacturer not the store (maybe) AND they always go to bat for their customers... which is more than I can say for most business I deal with. more

Last week I posted a review about creative fireplace in North Oxford Mass. This was done out of frustration and impatience. Overall I would recommend creative fireplace over some of the others in the area. They have a good selection of stoves to choose from . They will not try to sell you anything that you don't need to run the stove. Let they know what you are using it for and where it will go and they will help you out with what ever you need to operate the stove correctly. If they suggest that you need certain things to operate the stove correctly, then listen. like I said they didn't try to sell my wife and I anything we didn't need. And I can feel safe because I know the stove was installe correctly. I'm sure if you go to other stores and check them out you will return to Creative Fireplace and purchase your stove from them. Honest and knowledge able about what they sell. Ps and the pellets they sell to there customers are as far as i'm concerned the best pellets around.
