The staff is very friendly, and they really loved my dog. HOWEVER- I feel like they tried to run up my bill. Every little thing they could charge me for, they did. I was quoted around $60 for the appointment, and it ended up being around $160. The $100 extra went to cleaning my dogs ears (which they lumped with the "complimentary nail clipping" so I thought it was complimentary) and other various small fees. I came away feeling jipped and like I completely overpaid for things my dog did not even need. Dr. Begin could have been far more upfront with just how much they were going to charge and the HUGE price difference between $160 and $60. more

I just wanted to say this clinic is outstanding and there are to many wonderful things to say about Dr. Whalen and his staff and not enough space to write!! I will continue to use this clinic as long as he is there! I do not mind driving 1 hour to see him either!! Too Pricey 2/12/2009

I would not recommend this vet. They are expensive and charge for services not needed. You can find more affordable care somewhere else. Pros: The vets are very knowledgeable Cons: Too Expensive, no discounts for multiple pets more

Excellent customer service! 4/18/2008

Cottonwood's staff is the best around! Everyone is friendly and really seems to care about the pets. I've never felt silly talking in depth about my dog. They enjoy hearing about how he's doing! And the care he receives is top notch. They talk on my level so I can understand what's going on. more

Awesome Veterinary Clinic!!! 12/4/2007

I can't say enough good things about everyone at this clinic. The veterinarians and staff are so friendly and competent. They go out of their way to make me and my pets feel welcome. If you are looking for high quality, progressive veterinary care this is the place for you! When my dog was sick, they were able to fit me in for an appointment right away. All of the vets here are very knowledgeable and caring. It seems like they have a very low employee turnover because I have seen the same people since I started taking my pets here in 2000. Everyone here seems to love their jobs. Also, the building is very clean! I wish my physician's office was this awesome! more

Cottonwood Vet Center 4/26/2007

I have been taking my pooches to Dr Whalen since 1990. Even before he opened the clinic in Jenison. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone ! In fact, I wish he were my doctor. None of my three dogs have ever minded going to him. In fact, the oldest used to get excited to go when we'd say his name. His staff and his fellow vets are all very professional yet very caring with great bedside manner. His prices are fair, his facility clean, . . . . I just can't say enough good about the clinic. I don't care how far we live from the clinic (at this time 30 miles) it's worth every mile.\r Keep up the great work Dr W. and staff !! more

Great staff! 11/26/2005

I have taken my cat to Cottonwood Vet because the staff is so nice and caring. The facility is clean and they get you in and out of the office quickly. The staff also will spend the time to listen to your questions and offer suggestions. more

Puppy isn't scared at the vet! 11/19/2005

Cottonwood is a great vet office! The staff is so warm and caring. Our appointments are quick(not a long wait) and the vet answers all of our questions. We love that our puppy feels safe and isn't scared of going to the vet. I would recommend them to anyone. more
