I have been coming to Raisa at Corbin Salon about once a month for years. Raisa does a superb job! These are old feet ! I can't get them into my focal length to see well enough to do my own pedicures anymore. As a physician, I know how important keeping your feet in good condition is to general health and wellbeing. I can give no higher compliment than to say her pedicures surpass ""spa"" pedicures, they are ""medical"" pedicures. Not only does she make my feet and toes look nice but she has the medical aspects covered. She manages calluses and cuticles and keeps them healthy. She used to do pedicures for my husband, too, and fixed a number of major foot problems. And, by the way, her manicures are great, too! And we always have an interesting conversation. more

Gerald is the best!!! I followed him from another salon to Corbin's. He has been caring for my hair for about 15 years. He is a true professional. He is always on time and treats all his clients like they are his most important client. He makes me feel pampered and beautiful - I thoroughly enjoy the time I spend with Gerald at Corbin's. He gives excellent, easy to maintain cuts that are always flattering. He is also a genius with color. We ae very fortunate to have him in Baltimore and I highly recommend him! more

Estela rocks 4/5/2012

I have gray/white hair that generally is attractive and gets a lot of compliments but I came in looking for some kind of change. Estela met with me and suggested a stylish new (short) cut and blond highlights to brighten up my hair rather than a radical color change that would be difficult to maintain. So we made these changes and my hair looks great!!! I really appreciate that Estela did not push me in a direction that would have been too much for me. Terrific colorist and stylist and also very nice, thank you Estela! more

Excellent salon. Jenna is a gifted stylist. 2/8/2012

Excellent experiences. Jenna is an extremely talented stylist. Several months ago, I went to the salon looking for changes in hair style and color and was very impressed at Jenna's ability to figure out what I wanted and what was flattering for my hair type, face shape, and complexion. I wasn't much help in describing what I wanted, providing her with several pictures of movie stars who look nothing like me and have completely different cuts and color, but she was able to determine the best style for me. I've been very happy with my hair during subsequent appointments. Jenna has been a stylist for many years, working with Corbin for over 12 years. I've tried lots of different salons over the years in Baltimore, and she is one of the very best. If you are looking for a new stylist, you won't go wrong with Jenna. P.S. I've also trusted Jenna with my toddler's first hair cut and was equally impressed. more

My first time at this ""hard-to-find"" salon but well worth it. Service is exclusive. It's all about YOU. You certainly do not feel like ""just another head."" My stylist was Fatemeh who was beautiful, gracious and considerate. She was gentle on my hair, and meticulous. I received a Phytospecific relaxer, while getting an education about my hair. She is great. It is great to have an exclusive Phyto salon in Baltimore. Great salon with lots of luxuious space. Corbin is a DOLL! more

love my hair 8/22/2011

the salon is clean and modern. the staff is professional in appearance and attitude. upscale atmosphere at reasonable prices. the stations are remote from one another creating a private space for each client. I was in the salon for nearly 4 hours. during every minute of that time, I receeived a service (color, cut, shampoo,style). I was never kept waiting nor was I rushed. I booked an appointment with Estela based on a recommendation. I was not disappointed. more

The reviews regarding Gerald are absolutely on target! I found him by reading his reviews here and could never be happier. I got the best haircut of my life today! Not only is he an amazing hairstylist, but he is a genuinely nice person and fun to talk to. Go see him, you won't regret it. more

I tried the rest, now I've found the best! Gerald at Corbin Salon is wonderful. I searched the internet looking for a new hairstylist after my former stylist moved away. I was surprized to find a stylist that had so many great reviews as Gerald. I can tell you quite honestly that all of the wonderful qualities and accolades that I read about him are true. I love my hair. The cut is great and the color has never been more beautiful and natural. In addition, he is polite, charming, and a true gentleman. The salon is beautifully designed. It is spacious with a very relaxing atmosphere. I left the salon completely satisfied. There's a lot to be said for experience. Gerald, you're the best! more

Gerald Popko: a hair genius in the DC/Baltimore area! 6/11/2011

I relocated to Baltimore after several years of commuting from DC to my job in Baltimore. However, I continued to travel back to Washington DC for professional services, including a monthly visit to my hairstylist, whom I had been seeing for many years. After one visit to my DC stylist and as I drove back to Baltimore, I was stuck in traffic for hours! I decided then that it was time to find someone to care for my hair in Baltimore. Finding a stylist in Baltimore was not as easy as I expected. After several misses, a co-worker suggested I try Gerald Popko at the Corbin Salon. I first met with Gerald for a consultation. He was professional, personable, and patient with me as I conveyed to him my hair issues, disasters and expectations. I never thought that I would find a stylist that I could be as comfortable with as I had been with my DC stylist. I was wrong; I am now more comfortable than ever before! Gerald not only listens to me, he never fails to follow through and continues to keep my hair looking GREAT. I have my hair cut and colored once a month. I?ve never received as many compliments on my hair as I do now! People frequently ask me: ?who does your hair?? My (curly) hair looks natural and beautiful?I give Gerald 5 STARS! Aside from being an experienced professional and an excellent hair stylist, he is a true gentleman. Finally, he is always on schedule and respects his client?s time as his own. more

Stella is absolutely wonderful! She is a wonderful listener to what you want and gives fabulous cuts and colors, esp for long hair. She turned my mucky brown hair with no style into a beautiful natural blonde. I would recommend her any day. I have also had Fatemeh cut and color my hair. Though it wasn't exactly what I had in mind, she did a solid job with the color and cut. My hair looks wonderfully healthy and my at home dye job was completely resolved. She also hooked me up with some great products! more

Robin Grinage is an amzing hair stylist. The best haircut I have ever had. The Salon is very upscale with affordable prices. Robin is truly a hair artist and tops in her profession. Robin and the rest of the staff are very friendly and professional. Truly a great experience. Gerald Popko is the Best!!!!! 2/4/2011

Gerald Popko is the best colorist and stylist ever! First, you can trust his advice completely. Let him do what he thinks is best --- both in terms of color and cut --- and you will end up with fabulous hair. I have had strangers come up to me to ask me where I get my hair cut! He understands color and will pick something that is completely right for you. And it will look completely natural. His cuts are also extremely easy to take care of. A quick blow dry using only my fingers, a spritz of hair spray, and I am done. This is the most low maintenance cut I have ever had. If you are a busy woman with a lot on your schedule (personal or professional), you can count on Gerald to run on time. He has a very, very hectic appointment schedule, but it is so well managed I never need to wait and (more importantly) he never runs late. I can always count on him to start and finish on time so I can make it on time to the next thing on my agenda. And, most especially, Gerald is a funny, kind, smart person --- talks if you want, but is also content to work quietly and leave you alone. He always makes me feel great for having come in. The perfect stylist! more

STELLA is an amazing hairstylist/colorist and so much more. Stella did low lights and highlights on my hair and my hair looks amazing. I have gotten so many compliments and I just had my hair done on Saturday! Stella is so passionate about her work and really takes her time to make sure your hair looks perfect and she is the nicest sweetest person ever! more

Incredible hair stylist 12/29/2010

I was a TV anchor for several years in Baltimore and the only stylist I used and still use is Gerald Popko. Gerald understands that women want to be beautiful. He is by far the best hair cutter that I have ever met. He knows what is the best cut for your hair because of his wide ranging experience. And if you want to color/condition your hair, this is the man to see. When I was on the air everyday, I had a standing appointment with him and I always left feeling beautiful and I still do. Besides being an outstanding stylist however, Gerald is one of the kindest, nicest, funniest men you will ever meet. Make an appointment. You won't regret it. !!! more

Gerald Popko makes you look beautiful 12/20/2010

Gerald Popko is terrific. He gives you a wonderful cut, and it always looks great. I started going to him seven years ago after getting a tip from a friend at work whose hair always looked terrific. Sure enough, people were soon asking me who cut my hair. He has lots of experience and can tell quickly what is the best cut for your hair. Simply put, Gerald is a total pro. He's kind and funny and a treat to visit. I would never go to anyone else. more

Gerald Popko ROCKS!!!! 12/18/2010

Gerald is a Hair God. I have been going to him for almost 10 years and have NEVER had a bad haircut. Since I started going to Gerald, at least once a week someone stops me and tells me how wonderful my hair looks. My response is always the same ? ?I have nothing to do with it. My Hair God, Gerald, gets full credit!? What makes Gerald so great at what he does is that he is able to give me a style that I can work with after I leave the salon. How many times have we all left the hair salon with fabulous looking hair but know as soon as we wash it, it will never look that good again? Not true with Gerald. He has the patience to work with my styling limitations to give me fabulous hair. And did I mention what a nice man he is? more

Gerald has been coloring and highlighting my hair for the past 10 years. I have had only great experiences, every time. My color is gorgeous and natural looking. People comment on it everywhere I go. Gerald is a wonderful human being, in addition, and a pleasure to spend time with. I couldn't recommend him any more highly! more
