After taking my car to the dealer a few times I quickly realized that if I were to continue that I would be purchasing my car twice. After reaching out to a few buddies of mine for auto repair shop suggestions, it was clear that Cooper Lake Automotive was the place to be. Spoke with the guys there and told them what I needed based on a diagnostic test I had done, took my car and I got an honest assessment. Everything from customer service to mechanical service performed by the staff of Cooper Lake Automotive is subpar to none. Whenever I describe Cooper Lake Automotive, I always tell people it is the kind of auto shop my father or grandfather would own if they were mechanics. My dad fixed my car for years, and he is happy that I found a place I can trust. Whenever I need an oil change, they get me in and out fast. They even fit me in on a busy Saturday when I couldn't figure out why the electricity in my car wasn't working (burnt fuse). I had a recurring ""check engine"" light on my '03 BMW that several other shops had not been able to fix. They would put on a part, I would pay the money and then the light would come on again after a day or so. The guys at Cooperlake Automotive diagnosed the problem, and although I was nervous about saying yes to another fix that might not work I authorized the repair. The light was off and has stayed off for over 3 months. I am excited to have my car fixed and to have found a place that can really fix cars. I have been going to Cooper Lake Automotive for over 8 years and have always trusted them but yesterday just made me trust them more. I had them change my oil a few weeks ago and before I went in for my oil change my 'coolant level low' message light came on. They checked it out and couldn't find a leak so I went on my way. The 'coolant level low' message light came on again last week so I took my car in yesterday. I dropped it off for the day and they checked it out thoroughly. They found nothing wrong with my car and told me so. I am a single female who does not know much about cars. They could have easily told me it was a head gasket and I wouldn't know any better! In June , 2009 we took our a car in for repair, a 2001 Nissan Sentra, this car has 162,000 miles on and had been sitting up for two years but it still ran, the reason we took it for repair was to get it to pass emissions so we needed the check engine light to go off, they were given instruction to call us after they ran a diagnostic to tell us what repairs were needed, no one ever called us, three days after they had the car, we called them to find out what was going and they said it was ready and that it cost 829.00 I asked if that covered everything that needed repair and his response was, but we needed to buy a new set of tires because the ones on the car were dry rotted. we picked the car up and three miles from our house the check engine light came on, we took the car back to Cooper Lake auto the next day and told them about the check engine light still being on, we were told that the car needed a catalytic converter that would cost us an additional 1100.00 , we asked why had this not been repaired in the first place and was told that it did not show up on the diagnostic, which makes no sense, they were able to see on the diagnostic that a mass air sensor needed to be replaced, repaired it a the car operates the same, we checked with a Nissan Mechanic and was told that if a diagnostic was run a the mass air sensor showed up in need of repair, then catalytic converter and anything else that needed repair would have shown up also, to add insult to injury the mass air sensor they put in was a cheap brand that function properly in Nissan cars which causes the car to stall when we stop at a light, we told them all of this and took the car back to them a third time and was charged 92.00 to tell us that they would replace the below standard mass air sensor 300.00 more dollars plus labor cost, so the bottom line is we have paid Cooper Lake Auto 965.16 for repairs based on all those good reviews and when we got our car back it is still in need of the same repair, plus an additional 1100.00 for a catalytic converter that it needed in the first place. I just had the rear differential in my BMW fixed and my car is running like new!!! I did some shopping around and found that Cooperlake had the best price. They were able to get my car done in a couple of days and it is running better now than ever. There level of professionalism is also very much appreciated. We have taken each of our cars to Cooper Lake once. Cooper Lake was able to fix the air conditioning on one vehicle for approximately $200--far cheaper than the other estimates we received, which called for complete replacement of various parts. Our second car was there recently, and I was convinced I needed fluid flushes, etc. Cooper Lake recommended that I hold off on some of these maintenance services after inspecting the vehicle, even though I clearly thought the services were necessary (and was ready to pay for them). more

I had taken my car to another shop numerous times, with many different reasons for the check engine light, and after buying many ""sensors"".... and much frustration a friend of mine recommended Cooper Lake Automotive. I took my car there, they called me a few hours later and said I needed an intake gasket. I told them to fix it and it was done in 1 day and the light has been off since.
