Amazing! 8/4/2010

It's been close to 2 years now that my Nissan Altima was shutting off. I went without a car for one week while it stayed at another auto shop (that I've done business with many times in the past). The other auto shop could not figure out the problem and they were more worried about finding an obvious problem than listening to me of WHEN the car would shut off. I went to citysearch and found Cooper Lake Automotive. Can't remember the guy's name now, but he got in the car with me, rode around in the heat for about 15 min until my car finally shut off. He was so eager to get started on finding out the problem. I have never had the problem again. I am so grateful for these guys! I'm a woman in her mid 20's and don't know a thing about auto mechanics, and some auto shops take advantage of people in (what was) my situation. These guys listen, will gladly give you a quote, and it's clear they enjoy what they do. more

Reasonable prices, fabulous owner/staff, reliable repairs 5/25/2010

I have been using Cooper Lake Automotive since my previous repair shop changed over to BMWers only. I currently have 2 Honda, but they also took care of my Subaru before we sold it. The owner and staff are always helpful, friendly, funny, and dependable. This is kind of place where they will work on your car post-hours (sometimes even on Saturdays!) to make sure it is ready when quoted. The prices are incredibly reasonable. I have never been unhappy with a repair from them (never had to return for a re-repair either). HIGHLY Recommended. Won't take my car anywhere else 5/21/2010

I've been taking my car here since I bought it in '01 and wouldn?t think of bringing it anywhere else. The employees are honest and dependable. They let me know if my repair can be safely put off (in consideration of finances) and do not try to invent expensive, unnecessary repairs. One time I brought my car in because it wouldn?t start and the only fix needed was a battery cable replacement. How many other shops would try to replace your alternator to jack up the bill? The best around 4/27/2010

I have been going to Cooper Lake Automotive with different cars now at least 15 years. Car repairs are not always cheap as a matter of fact they can expensive and painful. But when I take my car here, I know it will get fixed right and I'll be good to go till the next crisis. They have put an engine in my car and rebuilt my gas line and replace my gas tank when a manhole cover ripped it out (but that's another story). This car lasted me over 10 years until I handed it over to my son, only to have it totaled a year later. That?s ok I'm taking my new one there now since the warranty ran out and will continue to do so. Pros: Can believe what they tell me Cons: May take longer since they can get busy more

Cooper Lake Automotive is a great repair shop! They've kept my 97 Honda Accord running past 130,000 miles. Most impressive, they actually will tell you if you DON'T need a service. Good place to know about 4/14/2010

I have been pleased with the work they have done every time I have brought my vehicles there. They charged less than half what the dealership would have charged for my timing belt, and that included putting in a new water pump. In past years I have been prone to taking a vehicle to a dealership due to the continuous expertise, but have found Cooper Lake to do quality work. Pros: They always give an estimate before any work is done. Cons: No place close to walk to for a meal if you need to wait. more

We have had our van at Cooper Lake Automotive twice now. The folks in the office are friendly and professional, and the work always gets done in a timely manner. The other thing I love about this shop is they do the work that needs to be done and they don't try to sell you a bunch of extras that you don't understand or need. Great Service 3/30/2010

I stopped by Cooperlake Automotive on the recommendation of a friend on Friday 3/26 for a price quote on brakes, radiator flush, oil change, belt replacement, new spark plugs and a few other services items. They were able to supply a quote almost immediately and said that they could do the work on Monday. Everything was flawless and prompt. One of the best parts of the experience is that they didn't try to up-sell me on anything and when I asked about replacing the transmission fluid they said that I wouldn't need to do that for another 20K miles. So while the other automotive chains are constantly trying to upsell you, Cooperlake Automotive will treat you honestly and fairly. I will continue to use Cooperlake Automotive in the future and will recommend them to anyone who asks. Pros: Didn't try to up-sell me anything that I didn't need more

I have been here several times for auto repair work and they have always been honest about what the problem is and will usually get the car repaired the same day as long as nothing major is wrong. Towing in the fast lane. 3/25/2010

Cooperlake fixed my excursion which had grown tired and weary. Despite having a V-10 engine my workhorse had grown weary and lethargic. Dragging a small trailer was a traffic jam causing nightmare. Since the Cooperlake treatment I have what can only be described as the automotive equivalent of a team of Clydesdales. more

The only place I'll go for car repairs 3/16/2010

I've been going to Cooper Lake Automotive for about 12 years after being told about them by a co-worker. I've had work done there over the years on everything from a catalytic converter to emissions inspection to oil changes and CV joints. They've never tried to sell me something I don't need, let me know if they spot anything wrong while working on my car, and I feel like my car is in good, capable hands while it's there. In my experience, they get you in and out as quickly as they can - they understand that you have things to do and waiting for your car is not one of your favorite activities!
