Never had a Goodman product but now we do. Its is a heat pump 4 ton model 15 steer # GPH1549M41 roof unit. The workmanship and installation was excellent and it was installed by Cooling for Less located here in the Phoenix area 480 406-3430. They did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone. They always had the time to answers any of my questions. No SPIN! We live in Scottsdale AZ and the week it was installed it received a work out with temps hitting 114-116 deg for the past 2 weeks. It is keeping our house at 73 deg with no problem. We never had a ramp up unit before and that took some time getting used to the sound of the compressor and fan ramping up. It?s just a little different. After a minute it purrs and is very quiet. The volume of air is the best I have ever felt living out her for 30+ yrs. So far so good. We will see what the future holds. I would like to see it in other colors other then forest green. UPDATE Sept 16, 2011 Well we were not getting use to the ramp up compressor noise. We have had the roof top heat pump for about 3 weeks now. I called them and without hesitation they said they will take care of it. They were out in 3 days and installed a compressor blanket. The compressor blanket has reduced the start up noise by 50% plus. It is so quiet now. Instillation took 10 mins if that. Cooling for less is a great company and as I stated before I would recommend them to ANYONE! Very professional with great skills, Thank you Gerry and Frankie! more

I contacted Howard Air to give me a quote for replacement of my HVAC equipment. Their salesman did show up to determine my needs...then i never heard anything back from him. I contacted this company based on the citysearch reviews and am dissapointed in their lack of follow through. more

I was very pleased. Last night we noticed the carpet was damp in the bedroom next to the AC closet. Discovered that the AC was leaking this a.m. Like most folks, we don't know much about HVAC, and feared that a leaking unit meant a serious outlay of $$$$. Not so. The service representative arrived within about 2 hours of our call and immediately diagnosed a clogged drain line, a relatively minor problem. I can't speak to the reasonableness of the repair charge. But I was very pleased with Howard Air's responsiveness and the technician's knowledge. In the past, I've dealt with technicians whose knowledge and honesty I wondered about. By contrast, I felt like the Howard Air technician was honest ... and knew what he was doing. more

Arrived on time, did a great job of checking out our heat pump and explaining how it worked. The unit needed refrigerant and we were quoted a price for that before the technician did the work. Great service, very courteous. Will certainly use them again. more

The folks at Howard Air were extremely responsive after my heat went out over the holidays. After a desperate phone call on New Year's Eve, they came out to assess my Heat/AC unit after a previous company miss-diagnosed the problem. They came out and replaced my thermostat. I had purchased one for gas heat and needed one that was for electric heat. They replaced it and they also did my annual service. They are very accommodating to your schedule. They took their time to show me how to do the installation. The guy put some booties over his shoes and that was a nice touch. I had a little problem and he came back within the hour. They were very polite and I have referred them to a friend. more
