Computer-Wiz

I just expanded my business and wasn't really sure who to turn to. A friend of mine told me about these guys, I was a little skeptical at first, I thought they were just a computer repair shop. Boy was I wrong, they helped me find out just what I needed for my business. They then set up my server with existing and new work stations, along with all of the software that I needed. They made sure everything worked correctly, and then if that wasnt enough they even helped me expand my phone system, they do the wiring and everything. I'm definitely returning to Computer Wiz, next thing I'm going to have them do is my website. more

I have recently had to use their services for the past several months. Although I can handle myself through ordinary circumstances with my computer knowledge, the tech services have been outstanding concerning several things. Once I became a customer of Computer Whiz and became comfortable with them, I have been able to rely on them for help. After trying unsuccessfully to get a wireless system set up for all users, the tech was able to arrive here and in less than 15 minutes - get us up and running without any further problems and its still running smoothly. Another time, I wanted to clone my laptop to a huge flat-screened HDTV. I called the tech, and by using a remote on-line service he could ""see"" exactly what was going on with the laptop and we were able to determine that I needed to use a VGA cable (not the HDMI since the HDTV's port was broken) with an audio-out cable. Another time, I completely lost use of my Outlook in the MS Office 7 suite; again the tech could remote into my laptop, search my program base and saw that the Outlook was corrupted and set me up with a similar program that was found on the web for free - which turns out to be better because I can log-on to that from any computer not just my laptop. I have nothing but good things to say about the tech who has helped me so much at Computer Whiz, their helpful attitude makes me a repeat customer!! more

Very disappointing and expensive experience. When I called after the fact to express my concern, I was hung up on. The following week (after spending $118 for a 'consulting' session to be shown how to speed up my laptop)I realized that in the process, part of my XP operating system program had been deleted. I received continuous error messages and installation requests upon every keystroke and my applications (Word, etc.) could no longer be opened. I emailed the company and no response. I then spent hours learning how to restore my laptop to the state it was in just prior to him ever working on it, having to reverse everything he had removed or changed. Admittedly, I am not computer savvy, but should have seen this coming. Again, very expensive, incredibly disappointing. more
