I took my printer in on Friday, May 7, 2010. My printer was under warranty, but it took almost a week for them to find out the information from the manufacturer.
My problem with the lack of service is not from how long it’s taking (although, it is taking a lot longer than I was led to believe it would). My problem is with the lack of communication. I have not received ONE phone call from anyone there to give me a status on my printer repair. Every time I call, I only get excuses as to why there’s a delay (there’s only one technician, blaming it on the manufacturer, etc,.). This is not how to run a service-oriented business. Every time I am promised a phone call, I never receive one. For example, I called last Friday (5/21) to get a status update. I was PROMISED by the person answering that I would get a phone call by Monday (May 24) at noon. I never received one.
When I sent a letter to the owner, he left me a voicemail saying that they are not in the business to "chit chat" with customers. When I tried calling to discuss my problems, he interrupted me and wouldn't let me speak. He told me to email him and that would be the only way to communicate with him. Then he hung up. I tried calling back to tell him I just wanted my printer back and that I would pick it up. But he wouldn't let me speak and hung up on me again!!!
