Community Rehabilitation Hospital

This is my first time having to be in a hospital. I can’t compare it to anything other than what happened here. When I needed assistance I got it, when I needed to go to the bathroom they helped me. I’m not used to having people wait on me. I’ve been on my own for over 60 years and my philosophy is simple, if I can’t do it, it’s not going to get done but everybody treated me nice and went along with my sense of humor. more

I enjoyed the stay. They worked with me, helped me, showed me what to do and how to do it. They treated me nice, like I was a human being. The doctors seem to be nice. They checked up on me, come in the morning and ask me how I feel if I had any pain. The PTs and OTs all asked me if I had any pain in the morning and I did not. I told them when I leave I’m going to miss all the beautiful smiles in the place. They did an exceptional job of showing me how to walk, how to get in and out of bed, how to get in and out of the car. I don’t have any complaints. If I had to do it all again I would because I have faith and trust in them, but I’m looking forward to going home and being in my yard. more

I have had only a tentative and caring contact with the nursing staff and people bringing in food. I have only had a good experience with everyone that I’ve come in contact with. Probably the only thing that could have been better would be if they brought me a hot fudge sundae with lots of whipped cream every day. I would give it 17,000 stars. The food here is good and my pizza and Pepsi today was just icing on the cake. Anyone that has come in that has worked through the night and had to help me to the restroom has been very kind and very efficient. I have just had a really good experience here. more

It is comfortable and if I had to come again I would be right here. Good beside manner and complete healthcare. Complete therapy! Rachel, my Occupational Therapist, made me feel like doing things on my own. I had a stroke and could not do for myself with my right arm but now I can shower, I can comb my own hair. She has helped me a long way. All of them have. more

The experience that my husband had 5 years ago was outstanding, phenomenal. My experience has been the same. I would recommend this facility to anyone I know, my family, or anyone else. Corrie, Judy and Caitlin have all been amazing. Everybody here has been fantastic. more

Everybody was so friendly which I appreciate. I was leery about coming and they were very friendly to me and everyone speaks very nice. All the girls that I worked with could not have been nicer. They gave me a lot of different things to do which I appreciated and I brushed and walked Donny. more

The care that I received at Community Rehabilitation Hospital was fantastic! The Staff is very caring, professional and experienced. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to get back on their feet as quickly as possible. more

I haven’t been to one this nice and have been treated well by the whole staff. It’s a very nice hospital and I would recommend it to anybody. When I felt I needed help this was the first place my son and I decided on trying to get into. more

I came to Community North Acute Rehab with a broken right hip. The staff here has been above and beyond. Helpful, compassionate and responsive. I’m honored to be a patient here and I would specifically like to honor and thank with all my heart my OT Kelsey and my PT Carrie. The dynamic duo have brought me back from the depths of despair. I’m eternally grateful to them for their kindness and love of their work and so nice to slowly bring me back to having a useful life. Most important is that I love their compassion and their sweet hearts. They have a sweet way about them that makes you want to work hard and be your best. I love them. GOD BLESS! more

This place is top notch. It doesn’t get any better than this facility. Before my surgery I was at another facility that did well but did not have as extensive a program as here. I would give the food a 4. The food is palatable and they give you more than enough choices to select from. I have yet to meet one person in here who hasn’t gone way above. You ask for something and they get it right away. more

I thought for being on a special diet it was good. It was hot when it was supposed to be and had nice choices. more

It’s so open and caring. I really feel that they go above and beyond. The food is perfect.The staff good. I’ve had a Nurse Ratchet or two but they are few and far between. I’ve made friends here. They remember and like me and that’s very special. more

The nurses and the aides are the friendliest, nicest people. I felt comfortable. They’re all very polite, they do their job. I want to recognize Jazmin, RN, Mi’isha, PST, Amy, PST, Christina, PST, Melanie, RN, Diane LPN, Aimee, PST, Beni, PT, and Joyce, OT. When I came here I only went to the restroom with 2 aides. After I came here it made my healing journey better. I feel comfortable going home. I feel like therapy has made a difference. I am so glad I came and I would recommend this place any time. Dr. Fernandes is very nice, very caring. Even my family has complimented the place. more

The two therapists that I had have to be among the best anywhere. Their names were Kaitlan and Judy. They were extremely patient, kind but firm, and the only reason that I am going home in the advanced condition that I am is because of them. more

I think the staff is wonderful here. The food is excellent. They will bend over backwards to help you. I can’t think of anything that would have made it any easier. Everybody here tries very hard and does everything they can to get you what you need and help you acquire your goals. You state goals when you get started and it’s like okay, we are checking this off because you met that. Emma and Connie in therapy have been super super good. Lucetta was my nurse or tech and she was wonderful. I can’t think of anybody who wasn’t super great. Rosie in housekeeping always waves, comes in and speaks to me. Everybody is kind and caring and does their very best to make everything as perfect as they can. Everything is clean and neat. more

The staff was great. When I needed something they came. They were pretty much on point, I didn’t have to wait a long time for anything. They were very receptive to what I had to say. This is one of the better places I have ever had to be as far as rehab hospitals or anything. They always had smiles on their faces, no matter what time I called. Any issues I had they were on it. Everybody was really cool. Everyone seems to like their job. Brie was a special one and so was Kelsey. more

I feel very blessed and lucky to have landed here after the hospital. None of this has happened to me so it’s all been new; the edema, learning to walk again, sit and bathe and get my strength back. When I didn’t think I could do it they encouraged me to do and after I started to try to do better because at first I was weak as a kitten. Even then, any time I’ve had to go to the bathroom, countless times at night or whatever, whenever I beeped the nurses button whatever time day or night no one has ever acted stressed to have answered my call or anything. I would thank them and they said that’s alright sweetie. They treated me with respect and I felt not like a stranger, I feel cared about by the staff. I just want to thank anyone because I know it’s the best place here anhttps://www.judysbook.com/post/2/39821192d any place after this would be a step down. I feel very blessed to have landed here when I did and they have given me encouragement to continue to get better and not let this happen again. The doctors have listened to what I have to say and the when I got a sinus infection he wrote down the prescription right away. Same with my compression socks. He always answered my questions and followed through with anything I needed even it wasn’t what I came in for. more

I have heard nothing but good things about Community Rehabilitation Hospital North. The place that you should go to so you can go back home again. I fell last week and broke my hip and thought I would never walk again. I went to IU and they said the place to go was here to get better and go home again. The place is a peaceful retreat and I can look out the window and see bunnies and pine trees. I am impressed that everyone here is always kind and smiling and will do anything for you. It’s a real work out and I haven’t done a real work out in many years but I will do it now. I would tell anyone if they needed it they should come here to a place of this caliber. It is classy. They have helped me with my attitude and I did not know if I would go back home but now I am sure that I will. Dr. Aiken is a kind and helpful. more

The hospital is well organized for it’s purpose, which is rehab. It is well focused on it’s intended purpose and that is very helpful. more
