Tons of Movies to Choose From! 4/9/2008

With twenty different theaters to view from, you are sure to find a time that suits you for the movie you actually want to see. There are tons of parking but beware of friday and saturday nights when tweens and teens swarm by the hundreds to get away from the parents. The prices of the snacks are a bit too expensive so eat before you go! The seats are like a recliner that gives plenty of space. But, if you wish to snuggle up to that someone special, just raise the arm rest, and your chairs become a love seat. Have tons of friends you want to sit with, just raise all the arm rest and you have a huge couch! With stadium seating you will not have to worry about someone tall sitting in front of you! Pros: stadium seating, comfort of chairs, movie selection Cons: parking, weekend nights with teens, concession prices more

Commonwealth 20 is a great theater. 3/15/2007

I had to respond to t123. This is the exact type of person that is ruining this country. ALL of those previews are pre-screened by YOUR beloved censors, t123. I am raising the BS flag and straight-out calling you a liar for your statement that you spent hours explaining all of these bad things to your children after the movie. You. Are. A. Liar. Why don't you just mind your business and keep your ridiculous Puritan lifestyle in your own home? Pros: Stadium seating. Large selection of snacks. Cons: Snacks are too expensive. Yes, I know why and yes, I realize all theaters are too expensive these days. It's still a ""con"", even if it's obvious. more

Parents of small Children Be Warned 10/5/2006

Ok we went with our family of five to see ""Barnyard"". A rated ""G"" movie. Thought this would be a good family movie. Safe for our preschoolers to view and have quality family time. The actual movie was great but as the previews and commercials came on we quickly found out they do not care what commercials they show to ALL audiences. Within the course of three minutes our little guys saw a Nuclear bomb go off with a man with two small children trying to survive (Jericho) followed by the next scene of a woman getting undressed and climbing into bed with a man..followed by them breaking out there breifcases full of tons of guns and going to rob banks (Smith I think?) I couldn't tell you the rest because I was up and out of my seat to speak with the manager after that. I mean really I pay $60 to take my family to a nice family movie and instead have to spend hours explaining s ex, war, and bank robbery to my children for the rest of the night. The manager informed me ""Well they are all commercials for regular TV shows so we just assume they are fine for everyone."" Oh yeah I am going to let me four year old stay up until 10pm to watch a bank robbery show or a war show. Come on! For the money I spent for a G movie..I expect G commercials! They can do so much better than this. Very disappointed and will be asking what the commercials are for sure next time we go..if we go. Pros: Nice clean theater Cons: They play "R" commercials in "G" movies more

the best theater i have ever been 2 in my life more

Great Theatre 11/14/2002

Except for the great, quaint old theatres, the movie going experience has gone to the multiplexes for their convenience. In terms of Richmond multiplexes, this is by far the best. A lot of the theatres are good size, with large screens. Also have a good variety of snacks, and easy parking. Pros: Theatre Size, Parking, Snack variety more

Clearly the best 11/14/2002

Clearly the best multi-plex in Richmond. Convenient parking, good size theatres. And please ignore the last review, as it appears he has a problem with all of Suburbia, and anything associated with it. If you want to go to a great multi-plex, this is the one. Pros: Parking, Seats more

Best in Richmond 10/28/2002

Easily the best theatre in Richmond. Large number of ""big"" theatres and screens, comfortable seating, and plenty of parking. more

Excellent Theatre 10/23/2002

Great theatre. Large number of theatres have large screens. There is good sound, comfortable seats, and easy parking. Easily the best theatre in Richmond. Pros: Large Screens, Comfortable, Parking more

Best in Richmond 10/23/2002

Best theatre in Richmond area. Although the new Regal Short Pump has slightly better sound, only two of Regal's theatres are large theatres. 8 of Commonwealth's 20 are larger theatres that have very large screens, unlike Regals, where the majority of the screens are smaller theatres. And unlike Regal Short Pump, there is plenty of parking here. A bit of a drive, but definitely worth it. more

the best 8/22/2002

nothing bad to say about this theater, great location, great atmosphere, great experience. Pros: cupholders more

This is the best one around 7/17/2002

This is the best theater I have been to. I have only been there twice, but it is the best place to go. Everyone is friendly and the seats are comfy. And best of all no one is in your way! Pros: Lots to watch, plenty of fun, great people Cons: none, none, and of course none more
