The Comfort Inn at Santa Cruz is very clean, relatively inexpensive, and has a nice garden setting. Staying there was a nice breath of fresh air from the tired old expensive beach motels you find in Santa Cruz. more

From the front desk his name is Chirad he's the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the employees as well (well most of them), they helped us out a whole bunch from laundry to food and anything else that we needed. i would recommend this hotel to everyone, only fault is there is not enough parking for everyone. breakfast was wonderful minus the ""kids"" behind the desk talking and texting they probably were college students but still there has to be a level of customer service for hotels no matter where your at and I will always think that when the cat is out the mouse will play. more

We stay at hotels regularly in Santa Cruz, and I have narrowed down the best hotel in the county to this one, not becaonly use the rooms and accomodations are lovely, but the price is that of a cheep motel where you would expect gross accomodations. The rooms here are immaculate, lovely, newer decor, everything smells great, the pillows are luxurious, the sheets are as soft as sheets get without spending $3000 a set, with thick, padded bed covers. Nothing is tacky, full of special touches. The continental breakfast is one of the best I've seen, lots of yummy choices. The employees are friendly and very helpful. The managers seem to be a lovely family, and always seem to available if need be.\r AND the pool and jacuzzi! Don't get me started! You know how hotels say heated pool, and it never really is? (I'm a cold-water woos), well, there pool, besides also being extremely clean and well maintained, is always like a mild bath tub- actually warm, but not too warm.\r And if you don't like getting stuck in the Ocean St. traffic to the beach, look at a map of Santa Cruz, there are many other routes, just as direct, especially from this hotels location (the base of Hwy. 1).\r I know I sound like a cousin of the manager or something, but I am not, and what I say is true. I am so tired of nauseating, over-priced accomodations at slum-lordy hotels. This place is the best. I just hope my review doesn't bring in so much business that they raise their confusingly low rates. :) Have a nice time, people.\r more

We were very pleased with the whole experience of the Comfort Inn in Santa Cruz. The room was clean and the service was friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable. The decore of the room was fresh and modern. The price the perfect even for booking last minute. Breakfast in the morning was the best continental one I have ever had. I am use to crusty bread , coffee and juice at most places. They had a fresh variety of muffins, danished, juices, breads, cereals, and to top it off make your own Belgian waffles. Delish!!!!!!! Not to mention fresh coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Our only complaint was the pressure in the shower was too low. Other than that, we give it three thumbs up!! more

We were visiting Santa Cruz for a few days & had made reservations to stay at the Comfort Inn on Plymouth. It was not very expensive and so we were suprised at how nice it was. It's not right on the Boardwalk area-which is what we wanted. It was quiet, & looked like it had been all re-done recently, including stained glass windows. It included breakfast everyday and had a heated pool & small jacuzzi. We would definitely stay there again. more

I have stayed at Comfort Inns before, but the level of care and service at this one beat out hotels at twice the price. The breakfast was terrific, with make-your-own-waffles, and there is free internet. Origami towels in the bathrooms! I own an historic inn, and I can't even get MY staff to make origami towels. This is not the Ritz, but for the price, it's the best place I've stayed. more

We started staying at the Comfort Inn in Santa Cruz when my son started college there. It was easy to get to and the price was right. Over the years, we continued to stay there since we were familiar with the hotel and the owners. The owners have always tried their best to keep us satisfied and they have really done a wonderful job updating the hotel over the last few years. more

We were visiting our daughter at UCSC and looking for a reasonable, yet nice, hotel. I thought I would be taking a chance with the Comfort Inn due to its outside appearance and location. The room we had was recently renovated, clean and very comfortable. A very pleasant experience. more

very comfortable 5/8/2012

This hotel had the lowest price of all that were available when I was in Santa Cruz. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a good sized room with great counter space... very clean, very comfortable. A microwave AND a refridgerator in the room. Staff was pleasant and had great advice on night life. Would DEFINTELY recommend over one that I stayed at across the street one year prior. more
