LIARS AND CON ARTISTS 11/15/2007

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME at this store. My mother purchased a sofa, ottoman, and chair on 11/7/2007. We were told that we were getting a BRAND NEW set but instead they gave us the floor model. The floor model is dusty, worn, the pillows had many loose strings, on one side the material was worn down to where you could see some of the filling. The manager was incredibly RUDE and unjust. He refused to help us in any way. The bottom line is that we paid for a new set and they gave us the floor model. Please avoid frustration and disapointments by just shopping elsewhere. Save yourself from headaches and disappointments--Don't shop at Comeaux Furniture 6/4/2007

Problem: I paid for a new sofa and ottoman in full since April 25, 2007. The store delivered damaged floor sample. I was promised a replacement by the manager Joe. I?ve left several messages with no return phone calls as to the status of my sofa and ottoman. Cons: Will not deliver on time or items ordered more

I had a great experience. 5/10/2007

I purchased a bed from a very nice and helpful salesman. I got the bed the next day. The delivery men were great as well. My apartment was on the second story and they went up and down carrying the parts. When we all thought the bed was put together, they left. A few minutes later, one of them ran back to the apartment b/c as it turns out, there was one last part that none of us realized was missing. I found that very nice of him. He could have easily said ""I'm tired of running up those stairs, let's go!"" But he didn't. He ran back down the street and back up the stairs. Don;t waste your time and money 8/19/2006

I paid cash for a special order sectional sofa set that was ordered in jan,06 i was told it would take 6-8 weeks before it would come in, i really don't have to tell you that it took longer than that. these people should have a law suit brough against them for the lies they tell. my set did not come in at all. i finally went back to the store in may,06 and request my money back. i finally had to drive out of town to order the same sofa set and got it in 2 days. what's happening to this company and the people they hire? Are all the employees being sent to the same school of lies? more

Avoid at all cost 6/8/2006

I ordered $12,000+ of furniture and appliances on November 15, 2005 still waiting on complete delivery on June 9, 2006. Salesman Jackson never followed up, ad then refused to return calls, as did management. I don't feel that I am unreasonable in saying that after 35 years doing business with these folks that based on this service they will not see my face again! They said they were delivering the last piece Wednesday, then Thursday, then Friday. I know lots of people that have yet to buy their furniture and appliances, I am telling them to stay away from COMEAUX's like the plague. You Will Be Frustrated If You Shop Here 5/25/2006

These people are very rude and will NEVER return your calls. I wasted a whole Saturday waiting for my order to be delivered. I called at 4:00 and they said too bad, it's not coming, because our delivery men never showed up. I can't get a return call to reset a delivery time. No one can help you except your salesman, and they won't return calls. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! EX-LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 25 YEARS. Pros: Absolutely None Cons: Rude, No Return Calls, Unkept Promises more

I Do Not Recommend this store! 5/14/2006

I also had the salesman who quit, I have been waiting on the Store Manager to call me for the past 30 days. I recently called to speak with him and the receptionist who answered had a very nasty attitude. I'm going in the store and request a refund. It's not what there doing it is how they are doing it. A courtesy call from the manager, a better attitude from the receptionist would have kept my business. more

lack of integrity 5/9/2006

I ordered one room of furniture and a desk from a salesman who quit shortly after my purchase. I was told it would take 12 weeks for delivery. More than 15 weeks have passed and I still do not have my complete order, although the store has 100 percent of my money, which amounted fo more than $3,000. I was given promises by other store personnel, which were also not delivered. I wholeheartedly do not recommend this store. Pros: Are you kidding? Cons: No follow-through, not meet deadlines more

Failure to deliver 1/9/2006

We ordered furniture on 12 Nov 05. Was promised delivery in 4-6 weeks. At 6 weeks was told another 4 weeks due to shortage of fabric at Ashley Furniture Factory in Wisconsin. They were anxious for me to cancel order. I think either furniture was sold out from under me or salesman failed to place order. Found availability at Ashley Furniture rep in Gonzales and promised delivery is 3 weeks. Was a loyal customer of 37 years at Comeaux. I won't be buying from them again. more
