I used to love tweeter center... for the past couple summers i would go to just about every show there, if i didnt have tickets, i would chill in the super lawn (parking lot) and ...

UMUSTBEKIDDING !!!! 6/22/2008

I am convinced that people who go to this venue and actually say that it was ""worth it ""are either 1.) under 25 ; Cons: everything ; except if you happen to be in the first twenty rows then you just have to worry about not ruining your night with the long wait out of the parking lot. more

New 6/17/2008

As a frequent concert go-er, I have been to many different venues over the past few years. I have been to the Tweeter Center over 20 times, and it has always been my favorite location for any concert. Ever since the name ""Comcast"" has taken over however, I have had nothing but terrible experiences so far. I have attended 3 concerts a;ready this summer; each one I parked in a different lot, and each one I waited for over 2 hours before we even started moving to leave. The other huge problems I have experienced at the Comcast Center include standing in the beer line for a half hour, only to be next and line and have a kid scream out from behind the counter ""No More BEER!"". As I was a little ticked off for missing 5 songs and not even gettting a beer, I stood at the counter and tried to get a vendors attention. After I finally flagged one down, I explained that I had waited a half hour and it was just 10:00 on the dot, and I was told""too bad"" and then walked away from. I could not belive I waited in the line and not one employee bothered saying that the beer was going to be cut off, instead they let a line with dozens of people form and wait for the bad news. Also, The amount of illegal drugss present at these concerts has been most disturbing, where everyone around me is smoking maryjane and ""security"" standing right behind them doing nothing. As an officer, the Centers lack of responsibility is disturbing to me and the fact that Pros: Shows Cons: Parking, Lack of Customer Service, Beer lines, Staff more

S..t Hole!!! 6/17/2008

Having visited Great Woods on average of 4 times a season for 10 years, I was convinced that there was no better place to see a show. When Tweeter took it over several years ago, it virtually stayed the same, outside of the escalation of the prices as well as the lower quality of what you purchased. A couple of years ago they decided to eliminate the lawn and rear bleachers to put in more money grubbing seating. It was then that I started calling the Tweeter Center. At that point, Great Woods was officially dead. Now it is the Comcast Center, and it fits the name to a T. It now belongs to the biggest corporate crooks outside of the oil industry. I went there to see Rush, and the first kick in the seat I had was you are no longer allowed to bring in your own water. Sealed or not. The guy telling me this said that it was at the request of the band. BS!!! The band makes nothing from concessions. They make their money from the tickets and t-shirts. I also had the opportunity to see a menu with the prices. Steak and cheese sandwitch; $10.00, Beer (watered down); $8.00, Pizza (6in pie); $9.00. After spending all the money for the tickets and gas to get there, I could not part with one cent of my hard earned money to support this. As hungry as I was, I wouldn't even give them the $4.00 they wanted for another water. When the show was over, having a bad back, I will wait for the crowd to thin out before leaving. Not with today's over steroided security. He was making threating gestures to get me out of there. So in short, Thank you Great Woods for all the years of enjoyment. Just as Comcast has lost my money from bad buisness in the cable world, They will also lose my money here. more

Mansfield Tweeter Discriminates 8/21/2007

If your between the ages of 21-24 and not from the state of MA. Then do not go to the tweeter center to drink. They have a discrimination rule in effect where anyone not from the state of MA that wants to drink and buy a $8 beer needs to be over 25. While anyone from the state and over 21 can purchase all of the alcohol that they want. Some security guard all hyped up on being in charge tears my beer out of my hand asks for my ID. I show him I'm 24 and he pours my beer out in front of me like i'm a 15 year old. I will never go back to this place. Pros: The Bands Cons: Security, Discrimination against out of staters more

Tweeter Center 6/20/2005

I saw Jimmy Buffett at the Tweeter Center on June 20 and the show was great. We had lawn seats, but wherever you sit you are not very far from the stage. Tweeter Center even has video that show close ups of the performers on stage. There is plenty of parking and you are allowed to have tailgate parties. If you want a hassle free experience, arrive at Tweeter at least two hours before your show (unless you use Premier Parking which really is a great value) and start heading out when the performer gets to their last song or before. If you wait until the show is over you and close to 20,000 other people will be trying to depart the center's 17 parking lots at the same time and you could be waiting over an hour in traffic just get out of your lot. Pros: Inexpensive tickets, Great views of stage Cons: excessive drinking, long bathroom lines, expensive food/drink more

Tweeter Center review 8/17/2003

I saw Pearl Jam at Tweeter Center in July 2003. overall it's a decent venue. parking kinda sucks. your best bet is to leave 1 or 2 songs before the end. otherwise you will sit in traffic for 1/2 hour to hour. it has easy access to 495 and I-95 so location is good. beer is a ripoff but that is true anywhere. overall no different then any other Ampitheatre near any other big City Pros: near I-95 Cons: parking, beer prices more

Best set up in N.E. 8/14/2002

The is no place better in New England to see a live music concert. They need to build more of these like in Northern MA or southern NH. more

love it! 6/10/2002

Just went back to Tweeter to see Alanis Morrisette after not seeing a show there for more ten years! Great, open space with good food, clean amenities and relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone! more
