They don't stand behind their work....I will never buy another VW again

I don't write many reviews. Colonial is top notch. Their staff is knowledgable and professional. I live on the north shore where their is an abundance of car dealerships, including a Volkswagen center. I have used Colonial and more specifically Greg Cohen for the last several years for all my automotive needs. My wife and I just took delivery of our fourth car from the colonial group ( all VW). Even for service I could easily go to my local dealership, but instead I find myself heading to Medford because the people there are a pleasure to deal with more

I had a very bad experience at the VW dealer in Watertown MA prior to going to VW of Medford, and when I went to Colonial VW of Medford, I probably wasn't the most pleasant person to deal with. However, Steve Gill was very knowledgeable about the cars, he was very professional and pleasant to work with. My experience for buying a new car could not have been better. more

Best Dealership and Service!!! 5/9/2012

Absolutely love my new Jetta!!! Robert Cherubino was the best in sales that I have seen in many years. No gimmicks, so fast talk, just honest and professional sales. I would buy another car from him in a heart beat! Anna Giacalone was wonderful in the finance department and worked out affordable numbers. A great car buying experience! 3/3/2012

Robert C. our salesman was fantastic! He was VERY knowledgeable and very professional. We visited four different dealerships and spoke with a lot of salespeople, he was head and shoulders above the rest. He got us the right car at the right price. It was a no hassle experience from start to finish, even filling out the paper work with Anna who made sure we did not leave any old records in our trade in car in case of identity theft. Mike Kingsley helped me get into the GTI of my dreams. It was a no hassle no pressure experience. I got a great deal and they went out of their way to make sure I got car exactly how I wanted it. I will would recommend this place to anyone. I know I will definitely be coming back. more

Great Place to Buy or Lease a Car 7/21/2011

Sales staff and financing dept are the best. I traded 2 Mercedes in for VW's in the last 2 months. I leased my 1st VW from Colonial in 2009. The service dept has been on time and friendly on every visit. Never needed to bring the car in except for the free service. During my last 2 leases I had check their quotes at other dealerships and was pleasantly surprised that the best price was the first price from Colonial. more

Great buying experience for me 7/12/2011

I had a great experience with these guys. It's been ages since I bought a new car, and I was worried I was going to get hassled and rushed (and indeed we were hassled and rushed when my wife and I checked out Subarus at City Subaru). We worked with Mike Kingsley, who was very straightforward and calm throughout the whole process. His attitude was that the car would sell itself, and he didn't need to give us the bum's rush. Once we decided to buy, we got a nice deal on the trade in. Anna also was really helpful arranging the financing and taking care of the paperwork. more

Dishonest and shady 9/28/2010

Sales department sucks. I went to buy a car of particular color as my wife's first car and told them how important it is for me to get her the car she wants. First they tried their best to talk me out of it knowing fully well how important it was. They openly said it will be pricier to get it and they can make great deals on other types. Nothing wrong with that but it sounded so insensitive and rude when our repeated no they persisted and repeated the same thing over and over again. Finally they located the car we wanted asked us higher price for it. Overall when we refused to pay their asking price, they called us 6 times at our home at all the wrong times knowing fully well that we have a baby at home. When I called them and came half way to meet their price, they first agreed that it is deal. Then they called me back in like 10 minutes and reverted to their original price demand. Completely dishonest and inhumane and brutal guys. They just want to rip you off. They also employ old school tricks like printing invoices with random numbers to show that they are actually loosing money by selling car to you. Just to make you feel bad that you negotiated their offered price. The guys here are so dishonest and have no value for their words. I wish there was a negative star rating that I could bestow on these people. They suck! My advise, go to more honest people who have some business ethics. These people certainly have none! more
