I was referred to Lloyd D. Cohen by a friend who knew I was entering a new phase of Life...retirement. Lloyd was pleasant and knowledgeable from the first time we met. I found his advice to be excellent and he was very easy to talk to, whether in person or on the phone. Lloyd kept me apprised of the legal proceedings and sought my input when needed. I resisted going to a tax attorney because I thought I could solve my problems on my own. How wrong I was! When the IRS started taking the major revenue source of my business, I realized I needed not only a tax attorney but also a miracle. Lloyd Cohen was the attorney who performed that miracle. I chose him because of his high ratings on the Internet. No other had so many five star ratings. My experience proved these ratings were understatements. Mr. Cohen saw me at the end of a day and gave a free consultation. It soon became apparent that he had researched my business, read newspaper articles, and changed my despair into hope. His fees were quite reasonable, especially for a tax attorney. His attitude was one of concern and compassion. He treated me like the CEO of a large corporation. He communicated with me frequently on the telephone and by mail and within a week met with me for a conference and contacted the IRS and resolved my problems and saved my business. When other attorneys would have milked the hours to make more money, Lloyd Cohen charged me less than he deserved and conserved my money. When others might have been tempted to settle for a less than optimum solution to save time and energy, Lloyd Cohen spent more time than he needed at no additional cost to me to present my problems accutately, clearly, and honestly. After he resolved my tax problems, he called those whom the IRS had levied to make sure I would receive the money I needed to survive as soon as possible. I wish I had met Lloyd Cohen sooner. I am sure that if I had someone like him or his wonderful assistant running my business, I wouldn't have had financial trouble in the first place! more

This guy took the time out of his day to help me with a legal dispute between me and Damons restaurant. A very honest guy? not your typical lawyer who cares nothing about anyone else and only cares about their cut of the payout? This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had to endure. From the moment your process begins with the Cohen's, you will see you are viewed as a lower class person and part of the ""You people"" group. From prohibiting you to even have a coffee in the office to checking your money for counterfeit to not allowing you use of their restroom, telling you to go to Taco Bell or Wendy?s. This is just the beginning of the belittling process. I suggest investing in a recording device to ensure everything they tell you is recorded, because they will come back and bite you over something they supposedly said. Do not dare question them either!!! They will be sure to use the strength of the law and their vague comments to tear you down as much as possible. They are VERY vague with everything. It is left up to your interpretation, which will almost always be wrong. Be prepared to pay for EVERY little question you have. They ARE after YOUR MONEY. Our first visit was 6 hours which resulted in us being told he could get a monthly payment in the area of $500-$600. 3 months later we go to our final signing to only find our payment will be $1,500 and 100% of the credit card debt would need to be paid. When questioned about the huge difference Lloyd became very defensive and began the belittling process again. Cons: EVERYTHING more
