Codornices Veterinary Clinic

I have 2 dogs and took both to Codornices starting about a year ago. Was pleased with the doctors. But in the past 2 weeks have had a very bad experience with scheduling and punitive thinking by the office staff. In attempting to get appointments I had to wait on the phone several times for over 10 minutes to talk with anyone for the appointment. Would not recommend to others unless you have time to miss work and want to pay for everything, such as I could not get to the vets to pick up a prescription because of work hours, they said they could mail it to me for a $5 charge. Now how can it cost $5 to mail a small pill bottle with 30 small pills. Based on my experience Codornices exists to make the buck and at their convenience, definitely not client focused. This is the most competent vet I have ever been to. Three vets before had just accepted my assumption that Jesse had a urinary tract infection, and gave her antibiotics that sort of worked for a week or two. Only the vet here knew that she couldn't have a UTI, because she was way too young, and correctly said that it was crystals in her bladder and to take her off dry food, and gave her a ton of saline stuff to fix the problem immediately. It didn't cost that much - in the $55 area? - and it ended a six-month-long stint of pee puddles and bloody urine. more
