If you're looking to do business with Coastal Credit, LLC...DON'T! Run, run very fast, and very far from this company. This company is NOT BBB accredited, and for good reason.\r \r If you have done business with Coastal Credit, LLC and have had a negative experience, I highly suggest filing complaints with the FTC and the Virginia Attorney General. If enough complaints are filed, the FTC will investigate and take appropriate actions.\r \r My husband went through this company for a car loan back in October 2010. At that time, he was Active Duty in the military. When he got out, he informed Coastal Credit LLC that he was out and had a civilian job. The company's response...they wanted to make arrangements for pick up. \r \r October 31, 2012, we brought our child home to die after a 5 year battle with cancer. Things got busy and money got tight. Our child passed away that November. Our payments were a couple days late, but they got their money. \r \r During our time as civilians, we paid with our bank/debit card. That is the only proof of payments that we have, as this company does not give you proof of payment or balance statements. They were asked to provide proof of payment, and payment history, and they told me that they do not do that. \r \r As military, we paid with an allotment, and still did not receive proof of payment or balance information. This company does not give you any way to keep track of your payments that you make. \r \r This past week, I got 2 calls, within hours of each other, from different offices of Coastal Credit. We were 16 days late. I made payment arrangements. No oral or written notice was given. They sent a repo guy out to get our vehicle.\r \r The repo guy told me that Coastal Credit had instructed him to do a snatch and grab in the middle of the night so that we wouldn't know. The repo man told me that Coastal Credit told them not to worry about getting the key, they would not work with us because they knew that this was our only vehicle and without it, we wouldn't be bringing in any money to pay the loan. I'm thankful that the repo guy at least came in the day, and spoke with us. \r \r more

If you would like to be ripped off for a vehicle and then having it repossessed after one payment being late, well you've found the right place. I am a veteran, who is struggling to make ends meet these days and certain businesses like coastal credit llc do not care what your situation is as long as they get their money. Two of their employees have lied to me today regarding important information on getting my vehicle redeemed after it had been repossessed the day before. They were nice, fast, professional, and truthful when it came to me paying them the $1273.00 to get my vehicle released back to me, but when it came down to them making phone calls and sending faxes on getting the vehicle released was a slow and painful process. Employees had claimed to have sent over faxes with information that was needed and they didn't. Employees had claimed that they had given me the name of the national tow company that i needed to get in touch with regarding they vehicle, they had not. After 15 telephone different telephone calls that started at 9am and ending 230pm(as well as a lot of ""debating""), I finally was able to get my vehicle back, even though they told me that I had to wait another day. I understand that business is business and at the end of the day, all they want is money; but at least have the professionalism and the persistence of getting the job done right, quickly, without excuse, and honestly. Their Supervisor Eric told me that he was going to keep hanging up on me because I was distracting his employees, which may be true but the end result was the one that was desired. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else and if you don't believe what I am claiming right now then hopefully this will help. They are not a BBB accredited company, which should scare most of you business saavy people away. I wish that I had known this 13 months ago. more

this company is full of bull.... they put a hold on my account trying to scam me out my money. they done called my brigade csm and all. any ideas how to handle this company??? more

Just don't trust this company at all. Just like all the other reviews before me I have had the worst experience of my life with this company. My husband is deployed right now and we have missed ONE payment and our car is already up for repo. They will not work with you on getting the loan caught up or anything that would make sense. Right now they are trying to bring my husband to court while he's deployed violating his rights under the Soldiers Civil Relief Act. The car will be sold probably at an auction... and they said we will have to pay off whatever else they can't make on the car and pay what we would have on the rest of the loan and NO car to show for it. Don't trust these crooks RUN away Far far far AWAY!!!! more

I HAD FILE A INSURANCE CLAIM ON MY CAR BECUASE OF HAIL DAMAGE DONE TO MY CAR FRIST OF ALL THEY TLD TO GET A EST. THAT IS WHAT I DONE AND NOW THAT MY CAR IS FIXED THEY WANT TO TAKE THE LEFT OVER AMOUNT AND APPLY TO MY CAR THIS COMPANY IS A FREAKING JOKE THEY WAS NOT EVEN GOING TO PAY THE BODY SHOP AND KEPT GIVING THEM THE RUN AROUND TELLIN THEM THAT HE NEEDS TO SEND THIS AND SEND THAT BULL CRAP I CALLED CROP. Unfortunately, I have a family member that is dealing with the unethical business practices of Coastal Credit LLC. Her car payment is due on the 15th of each month, however, she set up an allotment for payments to be taken out on the 1st and the 15th. Coastal Credit repossessed her car this morning, which is before the official payment due date. Since her allotments were stopped, the payment on the 1st was not sent. She is dealing with the Ft Walton Beach, FL branch, and spoke with a Ms. Pearson whom according to my relative, was very rude and refused to accept the full payment, which is not due until tomorrow, but steadfastly insists that the balance of the car note be paid in full. Therefore, in my opinion, Coastal Credit LLC seems to engage in predatory lending practices and are going about blatantly and shamelessly scamming young men and women. According to the Northwestern Florida Better Business Bureau, the Ft Walton Beach, Fl branch of Coastal Credit LLC, 424 Mary Esther Cut Off NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548-4088, has an F rating, which is based on a scale of A+ to F. more

Like others, my experience with this company is bitter. After making payments for 2 1/2 years on a car, I received a call a work asking when I was going to make my payment. In the 2 1/2 years, I was once outside 30 days. During this call I was told that I think I could do what I wanted to do by an employee of this company! I asked to return the call at a later time. During my return call, I asked for a payment history being that I has never ree=ceived a receipt from thsi company. I was forst told I would have to talk to the person that handles my account, then I was told they do not send out payment historys. I had already had an issue with them about attempting to charge my bank account without my consent, so I mailed a check. Low and behold two nights later, my car was repossed. I contacted the person that I normally dealt with and he informed me he was unaware that my car had been scheduled for repossesion and he would have to call me back. When I received my call back I was told the vehicle had been repossed and they would hold the car until they received my payment, plus I would need to pay an additional payment, repossesion fee, and any storage fees. WOW To shortenthe story, I contacted the BBB and they were no help. My car was sold at a Salvage Auction (The car was not salvaged) and I later received a wage garnishment for the remainder. Without going into detail i will say that my story duplicates the others below. I would like all of us to connect some way and begin a class action suit against them. Please respond all who are passionate about seeing justice done. Im tired of being taken by these companies. Instead of us just complaining lets get together and expose them . Was anyone able to find out anything of use, Coastal Credit, has Just seized All of my Husbands bank accts, For a vehicle that we havent owned in over 9yrs. We havent heard from Coastal Credit, They have made no attempts to notify us. They just seized the accounts, They refuse to turn the accts back over to us unless we pay them thousands of dollars, And they said that they would THINK about it, Meaning they probably Will still not release our accounts. The person that my husband spoke with at Coastal Credit Mr. Jackson, Was rude and nasty, He refused to let my husband speak with anyone Higher up. And very literally told my husband that he didnt give a S(#&T, . They Wont directly answer any questions, Refuse to be reasonable. They Claimed that they send Notification to us at 2 different address, then in the same sentence Told us that they didnt know where we were, To notify us. So they Stuck their own foot in their mouths. I see so many complaints on them, They have an F rating with the BBB. Anymore info. that you may have come up with would be greatly appreciated. I got in trouble at my job and had trouble with my financials for a couple of months and the day that my payment was due and I couldn't pay it they called me like 5 times that day at work and like 5 times on my cell phone!!! I tried to tell them what was going on and since I was in the military they told me to set up an allotment and I was trying to tell them my psd kept pulling me in different directions.. It wasn't even close to my grace period either.. They actually had someone come to my house and try to take my car and I looked at them and laughed in their faces because I had already seen legal for the military... They didn't take my car but they sure will try to do that and call you relentlessly until they get their answer they want so anyones best bet is just to call your lawyer... They are HORRIBLE don't work with them for anything!!!! Pros: They don't deserve a rating at all more

Coastal Credit is the WORST company EVER. I have NEVER dealt with such a horrible place. They start calling you the morning of a due payment, then harass you at work despite you telling them not to. They harass and threaten to repossess your car after being late for a week. The account person that we are assigned to talks awful to me and caused me to be very upset so my husband told her to deal directly with him... not me. She doesn't even call him, but still continues to harass me on my personal cell phone and at work. Here's the real kicker... I told her I would call Saturday, but something happened at my bank and I they have to hold my paycheck... she called me at 8:23 AM Saturday morning while I was still asleep and then put in a payment for my husbands account and it was not authorized! We are contacting our lawyers and trying to find another company so we can get rid of these idiots. Pros: absolutely NONE Cons: they harass, don't listen to your privacy wishes, take out unauthorized payments, etc. more

Worst subprime automobile lender you can use. I am a used car dealer. They tell people they will get them in a car, the dealership let's them have the vehicle, then a week later they back out of the deal and the dealership has to go get the car. This has happened quite a few. These folk don't know what they are doing. If you are a dealer, don't waste your time working with this lender. If you are a customer you don't want an automobile loan through this company. Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: Can't depend on them with auto loans. more
