Bill is wonderful!! After moving to Savannah, I tried a couple different salons and was always a bit disappointed when I left. They never did quite what I wanted and were way over priced. That's when I found Bill. He is such a wonderful listener, listening to everything I said, then discussing with me what would work and wouldn't work, and even went a step farther to explain to why it wouldn't work for me. Bill gave me the best cut and highlights I've ever had. He knew just what to do with my naturally curly hair. The privacy of the salon is peaceful and relaxing. You don't get that awkward feeling of being on display. Bill gives you his full attention and there is no whispering with other stylists, leaving you to wonder what they are saying about you. Bill Hays is a treasure! Ive been making four-hour trips to salons in Atlanta every two months, when it turns out theres a world-class stylist right here in Savannah. Most of the stylists Ive encountered have been quite good, but just could not quite give me the look I was after. Bills different. He thoroughly discussed with me all his ideas. I was so impressed with his diligence and communication, and the hair shade he recommended for me was exactly what Id been envisioning. Bills a consummate artist and colored and cut my hair with an almost mathematical precision. Ive never encountered any stylist with that level of care and attention to his clients, nor that level of pure talent. I cant say enough about this gentleman. Had a big problem with my haircolor. Loved it, but it made me look FAT! Bill showed me how I could use the same color as highlights, but alternated with lowlights (for the gray) to get the balance to my face structure that I wasn't getting with one color all over. He took the time to explain my options and used haircolor swatches against my skin to help me see what he was envisioning for me. AND he gave me a great cut and taught me how to work with it. Was really happy to find a place with privacy. Am tired of being put on display in someone's picture window while having my hair cut and highlighted. Bill's private room lets me relax and read, and the music he provides is never boring or pretentious. You can even bring your own CD's to put on the stereo. The best difference is that Bill takes only ONE client at a time. There's no hopping around two or three clients at once. That gets me out faster, and there's less chance of being forgotten. more

Bill has always done a remarkable job of getting my hair right for any situation e.g. easy care, Formal occasions, Job or TV interviews and relaxed devil may care periods. Have just had the BEST perm ever! It was done on these flexible tubes, and wrapped up in only 15 minutes! In about an hour I had the most natural looking curls I've ever had from a perm. And there was no awful smell left in my hair! Bill explained that the smell comes from not rinsing long enough or with hot enough water. And he rinsed FOREVER! Bill knew right away why I wasn't happy with my highlights: they clashed with my skin tone! We looked over his color swatches, and he showed me how some shades worked with my skin and eye color, and others just confused the eye. I had followed what I thought was professional advice, but it was all wrong. Bill used to teach haircolor for a large company, so he knows his stuff. Moved here from a large metro and thought I'd never find a stylist with the skills and high standards I was used to. The decor in Bill's private room told me right away that here was a guy with taste. And he even LISTENED to what I wanted, and then offered suggestions. He then cut my hair slowly, asking for feedback as he worked. As a result, he got it right the first time! And I'm a picky guy! Pros: Easy parking, Private room, Nice music more
