Classic Skating & Fun Ctr

While someone companied about the hourly rate of $1, I found the per hour charge just fine. No need to spend $5 on skating when you only stay an hour. \r \r The complex is very dirty (outside and inside). Lots of just little things that made the place feel run down. Almost as if they were trying to milk every last dime before it closes. \r \r I will admit, it was fun. Cost me like $4 for 2 hours of skating. Cheap fun in my opinion. \r \r Downsides: \r skates are old and beat up \r Place is dirty\r Tons of kids standing in the rink (a few of my friends ended up hitting a few)\r Terrible music ( played 4 "newer" songs in 2 hours) more

Very Nice for a skating rink. We loved the service. Great prices too, I would recommend this facility to others. And for every one complaining about the place just think that the place is like 40 years old. Best Skating rink ever... So suck it! more

i hate orem classic skating, there floor sucks and it's also dirty and nasty because they never clean it :/ if they ever do clean the floors they don't deep clean there floors like they should. there staff sucks because they never listen to anyone. and all they ever play is old songs. whatever happened to playing to new songs? there bathrooms suck because they never clean them and because the don't clean there bathrooms people always have to go somewhere else to use a restroom :/ bad service. oh and they are now charging everybody a $1 for hour honestly it's not worth it and there just drawing there customers away. there so stupid. and i could spend my money somewhere else like Holleywood Conections in West Valley or the Sandy Classic (: but as far as i'm concerned Orem Classic Skating shouldn't even be in business! they can't even keep there enviroment clean and they charge you for nothing. if a health inspector were to go there they would shut it down for good! don't even waste your more

Classic is a fun place to go skating, especially on the weekends. A lot of BYU, UVSC, and other local college students go there for cheap dates and disco skating. Don't expect anything fancy, just an old school skating rink with smelly skates to rent. You occassionally get cut off by the show-offs who spend their lives at classic but usually it's a friendly place. more

Classic skating is the place where all of the BYU college students would go if they wanted something fun to do. The atmosphere is very good nad you can meet a lot of great people there or go with a group of friends and have so much fun. Beyond just skating, they have a lot of activities during your skating session that make it so fun. more

This is a classic skating rink in every sense of the word. I went a couple times with huge church groups and had a lot of fun with the lighting changes and the different activities they have especially for groups. The rental skates aren't terribly old and the people working there seem to know what they are doing. more

Classic skating is a great place for kids....on Thursday nights. The only drawback, since the new owners took over, years ago, it seems to be chaotic with a lack of organization and definitely a lack of staff there to watch that the rules of the rink are followed. My husband and I decided to go on a Thursday night, to see what sort of atmosphere my kids were subjected to....and we were very happy that there were lots of kids and families. But....kids were just walking around on the sides of the skate floor, little kids are allowed to ride their scooters all over causing scores of accidents, it was extremely dirty, with trash and food all over. Maybe this was just a bad night? We let our children go...because they like it, and the atmosphere is acceptable on that particular night. But....it wasn't impressive in other areas! PROS: good atmosphere on Thursdays! CONS: Very little supervision of staff. Not enough safety rules, etc. more

I have been going to Classic Skating for as long as I can remember. They are open daily and host parties there. On Friday nights the teens usually go there. It's a great place to meet other people. The best night however is Saturday night when they have "Disco Night." All the college kids go to this. It is so much fun. There are some really good people that go there and they have contests and prizes. The music is fun. They don't serve alcohol or anything like that so it's nice clean fun. If you like Disco and like to have a good time, check it out. more

Classic skating is a pretty cool place. Though nothing fancy, the oval ring is well maintained and sometimes even spiced up with a ramp in the middle for jumps. Wide variety in music and they even take requests. Roller skates hurt my feet so if you are like me, bring your own or bring roller blades and you may enjoy it better! more
