Civic Center Cleaners

I have to totally disagree with the other people who have written a negative review about civic center cleaners!! It seems to be that their situation is an isolated case. I have been coming here for years and years and never experienced anything bad! The lady behind the counter is very friendly and very reliable. The prices here cannot be beat. To be honest I feel like the other customers were the ones being rude as opposed the the lady bc she is always nice! I SUGGEST EVERYONE GO TO THE YELP PAGE FOR CIVIC CENTERS TO GET A MORE ACCURATE DESCRIPTION!! Pros: Great Parking-Great Prices more

Every time I've dropped off my cleaning lately, the woman behind the counter has been on the phone or otherwise preoccupied and doesn't take in my order correctly and everything keeps getting screwed up! She then couldn't find my cleaning and claimed I'd never dropped the clothes off! (She was on the phone when the order was dropped off and it must have been tagged incorrectly.) Then they call me at home to say they did find it after I needed the suit for a meeting. Wow. When I questioned her, she yelled at me and told me not to bother coming back - asked why I was so sensitive about having to wait for my clothes. Yikes. Are you kidding? Plenty of fish in the sea - don't waste your time with these folks. They just don't seem to get it."" Pros: close to my house Cons: rude service! more

You DO NOT want to take your clothes there. They are not capable of handling your clothes and they will only insult and blame you when THEY mess up. I only wish I had adhered to the recommendations or previous reviewers. Cons: unbelievably horrible service, unprofessional, poor results more

I am very dissapointed. I bought my husband a Burberry shirt for our anniversary. My husband wore it once, and I took it in to get dry cleaned so I can hang it in the closet clean. It had absolutely no stains on it. I dont know what they did it to it, but it came back with black blotches on it. I was so upset and told her this wasnt on it. The rude ladies response was ""well we didnt wear it, and put stains on it."" I couldnt believe it. How are they still in business? Do not recommend this cleaners at all! more

I have been taking laundry there for the past several months and have repeatedly been losing socks and just recently had several shirts ruined. When I tried to complain the owner just wouldn't listen to me. She blamed everything on me and claimed that I was simply not turning socks in or that the shirts were ruined before dropping them off. more

Overall, Civic Center Dry Cleaners does a pretty good job. They open really early in the morning (i.e., 6am), so it is perfect if you're in a hurry and need to drop off your clothes on the way to work. They are also open on Saturdays. The prices are really good (i.e., they often give us discounts). However, be careful on what you give them. Standard stuff like dress shirts, sweaters, and pants are fine, but I would not recommend giving them anything that is too delicate or difficult to clean like suede. Pros: Good Prices, Good Hours more
