*****BEWARE*** I Will NEVER recommend this salon. I left with my hair botched & they even said it was messed up, but let me leave that way. It seriously was the rudest person I've ever encountered in my life as well. Do NOT go here. I would upload a picture of the before they got a hold of my head and after, but I don't want my face all over the internet. I feel sorry for those who go here & waste their hard earned money on what they think is going to be a great job. Maybe you got lucky or a ""good"" so called stylist. I didn't at all, and come to find out a few more people I know got their hair messed up here as well. If you're reading this to find out if you want to go...DON'T. I don't think these are customers commenting, it has to be the people or friends who work here giving false statements of satisfaction.******BEWARE****** more

The only people I trust with my hair! 8/16/2011

I've been going to City Salon for about three years. A friend whose hair always looks amazing was seeing their stylist Nathan and I finally decided I had to see if he could work similar miracles for me. Not only was I immediately converted ? I haven't been anywhere else since ? I've slowly convinced many of my friends to make the switch. I love the atmosphere, the professionalism, the positive attitude I encounter there... but mostly? I love my hair. I get asked who does it ALL THE TIME. I've never had a bad cut there and I've never had a negative experience. I'll level with you ? it's NOT the least expensive place in town but it IS a cut that will last a while and turn out to be a good investment! more

Stay far away! 8/6/2011

Please save you hair and stay away from this place. I went in for a simple bangs trim and came out with two sections of hair that should have been bangs hanging down way further than the other bangs. So of course I go back to get it fixed and I left in tears with my bangs cut above my eyebrows. The management has zero oversight on the stylists and no one seems to care that they ruined my hair. This salon lacks professionalism and skill. more

Absolutely fell in love with Joseph the first time he laid hands on my hair! It has never been the same since!! He highly encouraged the Keratin treatment and it has been life changing! Amazing service and cut each and every time. I couldn't be happier with each and every experience with him. So excited to find him at now at Salon Lux in Athens! more

Overall - Great. 3/3/2011

I can only speak for myself but every time I've been here it's been great, nothing bad to say at all... I have long hair so it's kinda hard to screw up but the service has always been good. I love that they use bumble and bumble and I like the atmosphere. The girl I had today was Alli, she was super nice and not fake. I tried to book Joseph since the reviews but he was full and I'm totally happy that I got Alli, Joseph was right next to us and everyone seemed pleased with him as well. Also, with something like a salon you should always remember if it's one so-so haircut, don't let it negatively reflect the whole salon! more

Great 5/8/2010

I followed a lot of the reviews that I read and booked Joseph--he was great! I've been to him a few times now and have always left happy. I gave him a general idea of what I wanted and he gave my his own recommendations, and my hair came out great. I am definitely a fan! Pros: great atmosphere, great stylists Cons: a little pricey (but worth it!!) more

Best Job Ever!!! 4/27/2010

Can I just tell you about the best hair cut and color I have ever had? Brandi did the most beautiful and natural lookinig highlights. These really do just look ""sun-kissed"". I could not be happier! Also, Kristin did a GREAT job on my brows. I reccomend anyone wanting to walk out of a salon looking great to book a Kristin/Brandi combo! more

Great Atmoshere, Great Service 1/24/2010

Joseph Nunn is terrific! A fabulous stylist who always stays on top of what is current in the industry. Athens can be a year or so behind the times.. I came here from CA and he knows what is current. He ROCKS. I have also had waxing, a facial and a spray tan there. All were excellent. Pros: Super Stylist, Comfortable environment Cons: I never have experienced any more

Wouldn't go anywhere else! 12/8/2009

I have been going to City Salon & Spa for a little over a year now. There have been times when I went into City Salon & Spa knowing exactly what I wanted for my haircut and left with exceeding expectations. There have also been times when I went into City Salon & Spa knowing I wanted a change in my hair, but did not know what style would best fit with my facial features. My stylist, Joseph, has always taken the time to listen to what I wanted and provide valuable insight to what haircuts and color would best fit my face and my skin tone. I will not go anywhere else in Athens! Pros: Great service, excellent stylists, perfect results! more

Best spray tan and bikini waxing this side of Texas!!!! 12/4/2009

I recently was a first time client at City Spa and Salon and a virgin at spray tans. Natalie Teasley was my skin care expert and an expert she was!! I was very pleased at how natural my spray tan looked after hearing many horror stories and my bikini wax was not nearly as painful as I had experienced before. I would definitly reccommend Natalie and will be going back to see her soon. Pros: Very natural looking tan and pain free waxing!! more

My stylist is Joseph Nunn and he's AMAZING! I have short hair and in the past it's been hard for me to find a stylist who does it how I like. With Joseph, I never have to worry...it's PERFECT every time and exactly how I like it! Not only is Joseph wonderful, but everyone there is! I was referred to Joseph a little over a year ago by my cousins and aunt. They drive over an hour to have him cut their hair, so I figured he was worth the try...and was I right!!! He did such a good job on my hair that I had about 3-4 other co-workers at my school ask for his number. I am definately hooked!!! Pros: Best Stylist I've ever went to!!! more
