I used Cilento Pipeline to install a 119 gallon stainless steel hot water storage tank with a lifetime guarantee. I decided to use Cilento Pipeline because they installed a stainless steel hot water storage tank with a high efficiency boiler at a friend's house in Long Beach. Cilento Pipeline's plumber did an absolutely beautiful installation with perfect welds. My friend was extremely happy with the installation and their service. Three years later, he was still very happy with their service so I called Cilento Pipeline to do the installation at my house. I was also very happy with their work which was done on time; quickly; cleanly and beautifully done. Three years after my installation I'm still happy. \r \r My stainless steel hot water storage tank is now leaking due because of a manufacturing defect and will be replaced by the manufacturer for free under the lifetime guarantee but the labor is not guaranteed. I tell the person on the phone I need a faucet changed and I already have the faucet. She tells me it is 125 per hour labor rate.\r The plumber shows up and tells me it is 235 for the faucet change.\r I thought it was high but it's not my style to haggle.\r after about an hour I hear him complaining under the sink and he tells me he just realized my hot and cold water are reversed so he has to spend more time in order to change it back since he did not realize it initially. So he has to charge me extra! I said that was your mistake and 235 for labor only to change a faucet should be plenty. then he tells me hourly rates don't apply and it is a flat rate of 295 to replace the faucet. \r Shady company. more

John was one of three contractors that were recommended for the job. Although his price was not the least expensive, his price was well worth the QUALITY service he provided. If you needed John , even for an opinion, he was always available (and still is). He never made you feel like you were bothering him. This was my first home and I had so many decisions to make that I would need to live with for many years to come. I had major construction done on my home in 2008. Before selecting my contractors, I got bids from at least 3 vendors in each field I needed someone and analyzed each bid that was presented to me for the same work to be done. Cilento was neither the least expensive nor the most expensive. They assured me that the work would be done on time and were the only vendor who was willing to stand behind their promise and share any additional expenses for my being out of my home if the project took longer than promised. (It wasn't necessary, cause their work was done on time!) They also were the only one to warranty their work for a full year. Other vendors gave anywhere from a 30 day to 90 day warranty on equipment and then you had to be able to read thru all the exceptions before service would be provided. Cilento did the majority of the work on the new construction on our home. Since I didn't know the exact cost, I could only focus on the work they did. It was done very well - everything they installed worked terrific and we didn;t have a problem with them not showing up or causing delays in our construction. They were pleasant to work with and have in my home. After the major construction was done, when I would call them I would never have a problem with them not showing or not calling me back. They were reliable and dependable. However, we noticed how expensive some simple things seemed, like replacing a water filter or fixing a leaky sink. With so many plumbers in the NYC area who do terrific work, we elected to go elsewhere for our work. However, I would say if you want to hire a reliable plumber who stands behind their work and cost is not a factor you will do fine with Cilento.
