Chuck Brown II Bail Bonds

I had to bail a friend out of jail a couple weeks ago, and this was totally new to me as I had never been to court before. I wasn?t really sure what I was supposed to do, but as I was sitting in the court room waiting for my friend to be seen. This man named Larry Garnett sat next to me asked if I need a bails bondsman. Of course I did because I didn?t know what I was doing. I followed him to his office, filled out the paperwork and I was doing so, I asked him if some of the money would be returned to my friend after his court dates. He said yes that up to 80% would be returned. Now that the court date is over, my friend called and asked about his refund and Larry told him that he isn?t getting it back, that they don?t do that. The only way you get money back is if you go through the courts for bail. This is BS and I am sure he is in court everyday looking for people like me to take advantage of, watch out cause he is slick and will wheel you right in as he says ?this is what more

I really dont like this company me and my husband was told that all we had to pay was $250 and make payment on the first of the month. so i decided to go down there to meet the bail bondsman. I called him and asked him why didnt he show up to meet me. I was told he was no longer excepting the money after 3 to 4 days of phone calls with this bondsman he always had an excuse plus im pregnant too. On the verge of losing my home and everything i got i was forced to find another bondsman at the last minute. I hate this sorry company more

"" This company is owned by black people who lie, steal, and cheat. They are so ghetto that they will come to your house and bring the paperwork with them. Also, they will come to your house to get their money, pocket it, write you a receipt, then send you a bill stating you still owe them. It's sad that we have African American fake business men and women hurting their fellow brother&sisters. Not to mention, they will call you ten times a week at 9:00pm and harass you for the money they say you owe; but has already been paid. If someone close to you becomes incarcerated, DO NOT contact his company, it is not worth the trouble. There are plenty of other companies who are honest business people. I use Chuck Brown and this was my experience wither or not Chuck is aware of Larry bad business I am not sure but he have to know. LARRY GARRETT is ripping him off and giving him bad business. I will never use this Bond company again because you will pay LARRY AND HE WILL NOT TURN THE MONEY IN. LARRY is a liar and cannot be trusted I would not advise anyone to use them because of LARRY Chuck should know his employees and just like with any business when they are caught stealing that person is TERMINATE OR CHARGES brought against them from THIEF. Larry Garrett is just as bad as the people he serve you know what they are but his character is questionable. He took about all his clients like they our low life's when he is the one he will tell your business to anybody who is willing to listen. He took my money and did not pay what he was suppose to pay both him and Chuck Brown are poor business people that can not be trusted you go to them for help not to get rip off . I believe both of them are on the take. The bottom line is their values and business ethics are below standard I would not trust them because they are not people of integrity. Even though you want to see black business strive and do well this is a black business that I would not support again or advise anyone to go to for help. This company SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! One of their agents I think his name is Jackson Harris stole my money. He said he would write the bond for 500 then my brother did not get out and he would not give my money back. THIEVES!!!\r \r Thanks Jackson for stealing my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

We are not at all satisfied with Chuck Brown Bails in Alabama! I think they are down here scamming these poor people and I will do whatever I can to get the word out...Ms. King spoke to my son while he was in jail and was being transferred to another facility on traffic tickets and told him that he needed to pay $250.00 and she would follow him to the jail and bond him out...well we gave her the money in cash no doubt, and she didn't show up and when we got there the police told us that she had called and was told that all my son needed was a signature bond. They let us sign him out and we went home. When we contacted her about this she told us that we could recieve a refund of only $200 that she was charging us $50 for a processing fee. We have been trying for over 2 months now to get the $200. I am contacting the Alabama Attorney General's office as well as my attorney. This woman has more excuses than a school office! more

So when you make payments to the bail bonds they dont keep track. this company even though you have bank record showing them receiving there payment will still try to get more. they are dishonest, unprofessional, and rude. more

This guy is so crooked. First I talked to the lady, she said i need my pay stubs, then when I come back Chuck first asked me if the price i needed to pay was 1500 I said no 115 he said ok I give him my paystubs he then says I need to be a manager . So I go get my father who is a manager and then he tells me he does not do traffic tickets. What a crock. Wasted a whole day trying to give him business. more

This is just a bad company. Larry Garrett took my money and when the person did not get out he would not return my money or call me back. I had to hire an attorney to get my money back. more

I had to go to court for a friends arraignment since his family couldnt attend and I sat by a bondsmen (I wasnt aware). I wasnt sure if he had been before the judge yet so I asked the guy beside me if he could help. he then asked me to step outside that he was a bondsmen. he gave me all the info to give the friends mother to get him out. This is a hardworking family who lives paycheck to paycheck and couldnt afford the full bond, and the bondsmen actually only required part of the bond to get my friend out on a traffic ticket!?
