This is the only place that I go to when I need to feel like absolutely gorgeous - like supermodel, J-Lo gorgeous. True, the price only affords this working girl/supermom/Realtor, a once or twice-a-year visit, but as the adage goes ""You get what you pay for"", and his blowouts are worth every penny! I've frequented hair stylists from Santa Fe (other boutique salons in town...now out of business - go figure), and as far as Taos, Pojoaque and even Espanola (I was desperate!). Rick Jett, the owner, not only has a uber-cool, space age name, but seriously a gentle touch and a knack for a timeless cut and color. I've recommended blondes, strawberry blondes, men and other latino lovelies to him, with appreciative remarks after their appointments. He is a classy guy with a classy establishment, and he always laughs at my jokes and sarcastic nature without chatting too much, but allowing me to float off into sweet, scalp-massage oblivion. He's even on Facebook with informative postings every day (""Friend"" him, please). With all these accolades, I feel I should be fair and critique the salon with something to ""work on""...so here goes: the waiting area needs to dump those plastic chairs. You can be retro-chic with the furnishings, but my bum needs more cushioning! Rock on, brother!
