We were, and continue to be, extremely impressed by Christopher Duquet. We visited Duquet?s store early on in our search for an engagement ring, and consider ourselves very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Christopher, himself. We didn?t have a definite idea of what we wanted, and Christopher was a very helpful, no-pressure guide through figuring that out. The store and the staff are well organized, and we got to look at, and try on a broad variety of rings. The jewelry in the cases was beautiful and unique, and covered a wide range of styles from vintage to classic to modern. While we were taking in the variety, Christopher made it clear that if we had other ideas, or wanted to incorporate other elements into an existing ring, he assured us that just about anything we wanted could be created. For my fiancee?s ring, we wanted to incorporate some stones that had belonged to both of our grandmothers. Christopher totally welcomed that, and did a beautiful job of balancing and matching our existing stones with a few additional accent diamonds, for a breath-taking finished product. We were immediately comfortable working with Christopher, but after our initial visit to his store, we felt like we should still get an idea of what else was out there. We visited three other jewelry stores, but to us, none of them compared with Christopher?s selection and prices. Since delivery of the final product, my fiancee has required a few additional visits in order to perfect the fit of the ring. When we went to Christopher Duquet we explained that we liked one of their designs but it was not exactly what we wanted. Villi listened carefully as we tried to put our concept in words and even looked at pictures of various near misses we had found. She then sketched just what we had described and said that they could make it for us. At Christopher Duquet they give you a computer generated picture of your ring before they make it. When we received the emailed picture from Villi, we were thrilled. She had really “nailed” it. The ring came out exactly as we imagined it. When the actual ring was made, it was perfect. Christopher Duquet recently designed my engagement ring. The whole process was fabulous. After my boyfriend and I had gone to numerous other jewelers, none which had exactly what we were looking for, we went to Christopher Duquet. Within a 5 minute consultation, he had designed exactly what I wanted. Within weeks, the ring was completed. Throughout the process, he was patient and really listened to what we were looking for in the design and in the quality of diamond and he captured it perfectly. We went to Christopher Duquet because we wanted a totally original wedding band made. We had ideas, and they worked with us to create a ring that was exactly what we wanted, and really looked better than we thought it would. Over the course of a few months, we went from concept to digital images to the final product. We had a truly wonderful experience personally working with Christopher Duquet to design our engagement ring. We were able to take a family diamond and have it reset in a ring of our own special design. Christopher worked with us to transform our vision into a stunning reality. My fiance and I used to live in Evanston, and when we were looking for her engagement ring we went to all the big chain stores, and also a lot of the little shops, both in Chicago and the northern suburbs. When we walked into some of the big chain stores and told them my fiance was looking for a sapphire rather than a diamond, we pretty much got brushed off. When we walked in to Christopher Duquet's store in Evanston though, it was a different story.\r \r As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles from three different directions. We st down with Christopher on our first visit and he and my fiance talked through what she wanted and he brought it to life on paper and she knew he had the same vision for the engagement ring. A few weeks later, after making some minor tweaks to the design (which were taken positively by the staff) I picked up the final product, and it was absolutely stunning.\r \r We returned to Christopher Duquet Fine Jewelry for our wedding rings where creating completely custom rings for both of us was not a problem. We even had to ask for a short time window of about two weeks, and they were able to complete two entirely new rings in that short time window! We are again extremely pleased with the final products. I went to Christopher's looking for some standard diamond replacements on my 60 year old vintage wide band wedding ring. After looking at the ring, I was told about the possiblity of restoration, which included engraving and stone replacement. I was hesitate to do anthing to a ring that had belong to my mother; I didn't want the ring's essence altered. \r When I saw the ring after it was finished, I couldn't believe the beautifully crafted, intricate engraving. The design of my engagement ring was challenging in that it had a rope motif and several challenges to hold the diamond I had from my mother's ring. I sat down with Christopher and we went over my sketches. He told me of the software and new modeling techniques that would allow my design to be possible and still hold the diamonds for a lifetime. In a matter of two weeks he was able to show me beautiful computer renderings. We made changes to the model, and when it was cast in platinum it looked even better than the renderings!
