Christmas Expressions

I have been a patron of this store since it started as a seasonal business on the East side of Norman 20 plus years ago. Lucky for me thru all these years I?ve had no reasons to complain about a purchase until today. After failing to reproduce correctly a monogramming order that had purposely been left on file and for which the attendant requested no additional instruction?consequently ruining a set of very unique and not readily available towels, ? I was more than unpleasantly surprised by the new owner?s confrontational response, and unwillingness to assume responsibility for their mistake. Specially when I was not even asking for a refund of the cost of the towels or the service! (Monogramming, at her expense, one additional towel correctly?one that I would supply . Was the reparation I suggested?however by the time she agreed it was too late?it came thru as a snide, almost insulting gesture?one I choose to decline) This was not a manager or sales person, this was the owner of the store and in my opinion she displayed an unethical, absolute lack of business integrity. more

BUYER BEWARE. Three day return policy. This means if you buy a gift for Christmas (from this gift shop), you had better buy it on Dec 23rd or Dec 24th or the gift cannot be returned for cash. I purchased a gift nine days prior to Christmas, and was told I could only get a credit. :( I'll shop elsewhere. more

The lady that runs this shop is absolutely terrible. I was in the store over a year ago and she was on a tirade yelling at an employee which I could hear across the floor. At the time I didnt think ""too"" much of it and figured she was just having a bad day. Over a year later I return and she is scolding another poor girl who is about to ring me out. After yelling at her she stormed off into the back and that poor girl was practically in tears while trying to process my payment. In a time where money is everything, at least for a small business that lives for fraternities and sororities, helping everyone is always a goal. In reality though, it is an impossibility to make everyone happy. For a business like Christmas expressions, shutting down those silly sorority and fraternity kids, for anything is a very bad idea, why, cause there is over 1200 people who sign a house during rush in Norman. Not to sound rude but let?s put a hold on the 25 to 35 thousand dollars worth of business for your milk crate. I had been referred to this store several times as a place to get things embroidered and names painted on items. I am an area teacher and went in to get my name painted on a lunch crate for my classroom this year. The girl behind the counter was helpful enough until a couple of women came running from the back to tell her they were taking NO more orders for painting on tubs until next Wednesday. These women didn't look at me, even when they did talk to me. I asked why there was a problem and they replied that they had rush and bid day. Oh, duh. How could I have been so stupid as to expect a service I would pay for to be completed when there were such important things as rush going on. I, as an almost 30 year old living in a city that has a university in it am apparently at the whim of college students and whether I can get an item painted with my name on it or not. I was disappointed because I had been told this was such a great shop, but they will never get any of my money. Totally rude and unprofessional. I cannot imagine shutting down a shop to only sorority business. I guess that is what I get for trying to go to a locally owned, specialty shop.
