Chocolate Fetish

On a recent visit to Asheville, we found ourselves in the Chocolate Fetis, agonizing over which chocolates to buy. We were particularly blown away by the dark chocolate covered caramels which were sprinkled with various sea salts. The combination of sweet and salt was fantastic. Being partial to chocolate and caramel, we also tried the chocolate pistachio frogs - delicious! We've yet to try the others in our pound box, but one thing is certain -- we plan to order more. more

As a self-professed connoisseur of dark chocolate, the tasty dulces at Chocolate Fetis took my breath away. This sweet shop in the heart of downton Asheville displays truffles on one side and a variety of other goodies on the other. On the truffle side, we tried Velvet Sin--a blend of four different types of dark chocolates, Ancient Pleasure--luxe dark chocolate dusted with Cayenne pepper, and a few others of which I forgot the names...but they were all amazing! They also have a variety of milk chocolate or dark chocolate dipped fruits, such as bananas, mangos, and pineapple. Next time I visit Asheville again, this place will be at the top of my list. Pros: Flavorful Chocolates, Great Service Cons: Expensive, but it's worth it. Trust me. more
