I am a very particular person when it comes to Chinese food. This restaurant is exceptional in every way - period!

Greatest Chinese food 7/23/2006

I didn't even like Chinese food until I went to the China Cafe. Now it is "My" place to go. Suzanne and Kelly, the owners, and their staff make sure you are right at home. Everything on the menu is great but don't be afraid to ask Kelly to make a suggestion or just "make me something beef (or chicken or whatever)" for a delicious surprise that isn't on the menu. His recipe book is more like an encylopedia and he cooks brilliantly. I shouldn't recommend this place - now everyone will want to come - and they should, if they really like GOOD food. more

Try the sesame chicken, it's amazing. It is a little on the expensive side but worth the money. They are also closed on Monday. more

We are so very pleased with the meal we just had. The service was wonderful, the food was wonderful. There is nothing bad about this restaurant. I was so surprised at the prices, very reasonable. Pros: inexpensive, food was excellent, service was fantastic Cons: nothing more

We've been looking for that "goto" Chinese restaurant - and we've finally found it on Citysearch. Good value, great service, and (get this) better than PF Changs. The dinner for two special: soup, egg rolls (chicken), crab rangoon, large platters of Mongolian Beef and General Tso's Chicken - $30. Can't beat it. Some of the best crab rangoon I've ever had. Service was prompt and friendly, location/decor is quaint, and the General Tso's was fantastic. I can't wait to go back. Pros: Good value, Great food, Great service Cons: Short wine list more

The food is savory and light, as opposed to most chinese restaurants. But the best part is the value. If you havent checked it out, you definitely should if you live in the D. more

This restaurant is the closest thing to "Cheers" in your neighborhood, without Cliff and Norm. My husband and I discovered this place when they opened, soon after we moved to Novi. We highly recommend this restaurant to all. We have been to several other chinese restaurants in the area, including the chain on Haggerty. When it comes to comparison.... the bottom line, there is none. China Cafe is number one. Please go there sometine and try the Orange Beef, Greenbean Garlic Chicken, Sesamee Chicken, Crab Rangoons (awesome!) and some of Kelly's specials. You won't be disappointed. And, they have the best leaf lettuce salad ever. It is a favorite. We have turned numerous people on to this salad as well. You won't find a better atmosphere, service, or a warmer reception from the owners. anywhere. Put China Cafe on your 2006 calendar. It's worth the trip. Pros: atmosphere, food, owners Cons: none more

I have been to a lot of chinese restaurant .This one is by far the best ,the most friendly restaurant i have ever been to.My boyfriend and i had lettce wrap for appetizer,their lettce wrap is the best lettce wrap i ever had.For dinner my server nancy suggested general tso's chicken and asian angel hair pasta with shrimp in some kind of spicy garlic sauce.let me say this"we were in heaven".
